I think I'll pass on Deer Tick, even though I like them and enjoyed their late night I went to a few years ago. Will keep an eye out for the other late nights just in case.

The late night at the Jane Pickens theater that was hosted by Milk Carton Kids a few years ago was fantastic. Not super crowded and full of drunk talkers like the Deer Tick Shows. And it had seats!

I had a great time! As abbo was driving me to the airport yesterday morning (was that really just yesterday?), I was saying that even though Newport is and will most likely always be my #1, it's fun to go to fests with more diverse lineups sometimes too. Flatbush Zombies was actually one of my favorite sets of the weekend (who would've guessed...) - I actually had a hard time pulling myself away from them to go to Frightened Rabbit (who I love and had never seen live before)! The best part though, as always, was the people. And, even better - I wasn't even TOO sad as I left Boston because I get to see most of those people again in less than two months for Newport (:

I was a big fan of the Dawes late night at JP that same year I went to Deer Tick - will definitely see what they have to offer this year!

I think ITM meant the JP show WASN'T filled with drunk talkers like the deer tick shows. Those crowds can be ridiculous. I think a frat boy next to us just SCREAMED "The Bump" in my ear last year. Like top of his lungs.
