Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
FYI, Deer Tick is doing one show in Providence and two in Pawtucket right after Thanksgiving
Yes! Going to the show at the Met on the 25th. I was a little upset to hear that it would just be the electric set for that show after I had already bought the tickets... but probably would have chosen that over the acoustic show anyway.
Upcoming Shows: August 7: Green Day/Smashing Pumpkins/Rancid/The Linda Lindas August 30: Waxahatchee/Snail Mail/Tim Heidecker September 17: Pearl Jam/Glen Hansard September 24: Idles/English Teacher

Also a long time lurker, first time poster. Did anyone else get an email from pledgemusic a few days ago saying that they had a handful of tickets left for people who didn't get Deer Tickets due to the technical issues? I've been told by "Luke" who appears to be the same person who was emailing me the day tickets went on sale that two more Saturday tickets have been reserved for me and they would be letting me know how to buy soon. He even emailed me a few days later and said there were still two Friday tickets. I declined those (got tickets to Spirit of '67) but eagerly jumped at the chance for Saturday. Everything seems on the up and up, but I emailed pledgemusic directly to make sure I wasn't getting scammed and haven't heard back yet. I'm starting to feel like this might be too good to be true, so I'm curious if others have had this happen.
I'm trying desperately to get my Brother and Father to the fest on Saturday for not-stubhub prices so IF these tickets are real and IF my wife doesn't want to stay out too late I'm thinking of trying to trade them for Saturday fest tickets straight up.

Really? Weird.
The Columbus show, which I have a ticket for, is doing both. I assumed The Met shows were as well, but with different setlists.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Does anyone have any advice for a newport noob on how to score tickets to the Deer Tick and Alone & Together(but mostly deer tick) after parties? Willing to do regrettable things...
Thank you kind people!
I think my group has some extra tickets. At least on Sunday. We have 35 on Sunday. And yes, we take this shit seriously. Been to 18 of the 19 tick after parties.

I got tix to the Dec 2nd show in NY so I'll be happy. Also can't wait to see them on Saturday after Newport. Hope I get some solid guests (even though Sunday is usually the killer night).

I really like the addition of the Lyte program this year. I signed up for one extra Friday ticket for my niece on March 28th. I started at position 110 in the queue. As of today I am number 37. I might not get lucky enough to secure a ticket but I'm happy they have this program in place to get tickets in hands for their actual value.

Anyone go to the United Folk Festival in Westerly today? Free and super chill. Langhorne Slim made it sound as if he will take part in the Grandma's Hands Band.

That would be awesome, but I think Langhorne is going to be at the Calgary Folk Festival that day.

Fudge, just looked at his schedule. He was really hype-manning Bill Withers, specifically "Grandma's Hands."

Alabama Shakes just have dates in the area right after the fest. I was thinking she might end up being part of the Chuck Berry set. Probably should have said "might be there"
