Lot more chokepoints than I'm used to for Osheaga, but it might just be cuz I haven't found the best routes and keep taking the busiest ones like a plebe. Separation between stages is good though, and the sound at all of them is great (when the rain hasn't damaged equipment).
Biggest issue is the location of some of the portos. If you can even find them, some are a straight up death traps (looking at you, River stage).
Bouncy water dance floor/ the electronic stage in general are great little novelties, too. Feel bad when I'm on it and see everyone waiting to get in lol.
I was very impressed by how they staged the new venue. There was a lot I liked better than the old - The secondary stages were much better, bigger, and less congestested. Im not an edm person, but the floating stage was amazing. Even without that, the whole area for that stage was a huge upgrade. There were some stairs - you had to use the ones going in, but you could avoid the other set inside the fest. The ones going in were horrible leaving. The whole leaving thing wasn't any better or really any worse than before. But as always if you just wait 30-40 minutes after the end, there's no problem. They did a great job inside the fest - There were more "green" hangout areas than I expected, especially beyond the edm stage (which most people didnt find). They used a shit ton of a astroturf which helped with the vibe and, more importantly, the mud from the rain on friday. There were bottlenecks for sure, but I expect those will be better next year. They do a really good job at this fest of identifying problems and trying to fix them. You really needed to get there and find all the routes (there were several to each stage) to see which would be best. Great food, as usual. Good sound for the most part. Can't do much about the weather, but it wasn't too bad.
