One of my fest buddies offered me his extra comp. I think he has passed in on to someone else already or else I would!

Haha, keep an ear out. I see people doing local deals, but I'm not local to the area so that sucks for me!
Tho there aren't any hard tickets for MJ anymore, people just don't wanna use Paypal

Katy Mae - we have mountaintop camping - should have more than enough room for you the issue would be you getting to our camping spot (way up on the mountain)

Do you think this is because of their CEO's support of the Trump campaign or due to scamming?
I think people just don't want to pay Paypal anything - and I don't trust anyone on the internet to give them straight cash, especially for something like MJ where you just print out an internet email, there's no registering or anything.

Also, if anyone cares - the late night shows and smaller band shows (including the preparty) in the lodge are going to be in an expanded area this year - below is from them to me:
"As for the Healey Hall, yes! It's back but with an upgrade - we've opened up more of the area, and added in a bar. For 2017 it is called The Empire State Tap House presented by Healey Hall."

I'm assuming it's one car per camping spot? This is my first time. I'm sniffing out a mountain top camping pass right now, what time do you guys think you'll be arriving on site? If I snag one maybe we could drive in and be neighbors?

Yah i think so, I guess the alternative would be paying for day parking and trucking up the mountain.
We're planning on getting there earlier Thursday afternoon so we can relax and get a good spot before the preparty gets going. We could drive in together if that works for you? Or if you're mountaintop we'd always be close enough to pop over to yours or the opposite.

The schedule is up on the app. I made it into this clashfinder. I assume it could change. It's odd that there's a break between each set even when they're playing different stages. Alas!
I know prices go down quite a bit fest week. I was watching them last year but the baby was a month old and I couldn't just bring him then. Any chance of Saturday only passes under $100? I am debating buying these weekend passes for $100 but I wouldn't be there much if at all besides Saturday.
Finally bought our tickets yesterday so we'll be back on the mountain this year.
Who all is gonna be there? Little inforoo meetup on Thursday before the preparty? stillwatershakedownstreet ?
Nice! I'll for sure be there. I was actually able to find a car camping pass for regular hunter car camping by just sticking my name on wait list about a month back. Current plan right now is to arrive Thursday - I'm just not sure what time yet. Have to consult with the group.
I was up at Boston Calling this weekend and I'm just even more excited for some music on the mountain.

super pumped for amazing music. I've been really listening through the schedule and man there are some amazing acts this year. Almost everyone on the list for me is a "must try to catch" or "don't miss out on"
I'm keeping all my fingers crossed the weather shifts - but looks like we are all going to be a bit cool and wet all weekend. I'll be living in my rain boots and ponchos and praying my air mattress fits in my tent without touching the walls!!

Ha! That's an old picture but I pretty much look exactly the same! I'll probably be alarmed - but if you mention inforoo right away it will all make sense! Chances I'll be in a Roo shirt are high! Hope to run into some fellow inforoo folks.

This fest was, predictably, a fantastic time.
Marco Benevento blew me away on Thursday night. Other highlights were the National Reserve, Andy Frasco & The U.N., The Revivalists, St. Paul, Ghost of Paul Revere, The Infamous Stringdusters, Lukas Nelson...and of course the Sunday afternoon soul cleanse of Franti (though if you saw my Snapchat..I wasn't remembering much of it!)
Really a fantastic undercard. I slept through Cheese on Friday night (couldn't sleep well on Thursday). But Petty was great on Saturday. We left about halfway through Steve Miller on Sunday night.
Excited for what the future brings for this fest. I've never seen as many people as were there on Saturday for Petty.
First Mountain Jam after a handful of roo trips. Really awesome time - love the layout of the festival and the smaller size. Met some really friendly and fun people and some great music. Few thoughts-
1) Elephant Revival's cover of 'Have a Cigar' on Friday at my first set got my weekend off to an incredible start 2) The chairs/umbrellas all over the upper part of the lawn can get annoying and view blocking, but understandable that a lot of the people who want to come to a festival like this are not up for sitting on the ground for 12+ hours daily. The flip side was that other than the headliners, I could walk down 15 minutes before a set and get in the first couple rows from the stage for any performance. 3) Very unclear policy about what you can bring in and water. Saw many camelbaks after being told they are not allowed inside in e-mail as well. Having more accessible water stations in the festival itself seems like a no brainer, and one of my camp mates had her sunscreen taken upon entering one day.
Other than these small gripes, amazing time and already looking forward to returning in 2018!

Its always been a crapshoot about people bringing things in. The last time I went to MJ, I had one overzealous security guard tell me I couldn't bring a chair. Other ones I managed to sneak past with the chair and several beer cans hidden in it.

We camped mountain top and after giving the security guard an italian sausage on the first day (those guys work 12 hour shifts with basically no breaks) we took in anything we wanted the entire weekend. He actively never searched us.
