Wow the secondary market for this is so bad that I can probably actually buy a 3 day pass for this, fly to NYC and go to this for cheaper than I can get a ticket for the Red Rocks Gorillaz show.... something for me to consider...
they've partnered with everfest, and i have a code that will give a you vip ticket in exchange for your ga at the box office. pm if you want it
EDIT: it's been claimed
So lets me get this straight. I with an everfest pass, can get VIP to see Jay-Z and Gorillaz for $150 all in. Bruh
you need a GA pass (i don't know what the prices are/were), and a code to redeem for vip. once you do that, you exchange your ga for a vip at the box office.

its 150 after fees on VividSeats
so yup, you'd just buy the GA pass, join everfest, and redeem the perk
bought the Vivid ticket for $118, and using the free VIP upgrade from everfest. so all in for around 200 bucks for vip for 3 days. something here seems too good to be true
EDIT
WARNING FOR EVERYONE THAT BOUGHT TICKETS FROM VIVID : i just looked at the email, and under where ticket details are it says this
2017 The Meadows Music and Arts Festival - 3 Day Pass (9/15 - 9/17) (Jay-Z, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gorillaz, Future, Bassnectar) Citi Field Fri. Sep 15, 2017 11:44 AM (added the red myself, its pretty ard to figure out until you get the confirmation)
so this is almost definitely NOT a 3 day ticket, is most likely a friday ticket
so now i feel better. but i'm still nervous about this since my estimated ship date is a week before the festival
edit: dammit, why can't my imgur image post? basically they told me that friday was listed because it was the start day, and all the tickets are vetted and can only list on their site, and a bunch of other stuff. i'm still not 100% sure this is a 3 day but i guess i can always raise hell later

Ah so the secondary market wasnt that cheap, yall just may have been suckered into buying single days... that sucks.
Friday is gonna be awesome though. First Jay Z show in NYC in years. But if youd rather get a 3 day or sell off that single day; id just wait a few more weeks for when it sells out. Youll be able to get your money back and then some.

It is that cheap, not entirely sure what the confusion is... most events for 3-day tickets just list start time.
Also, I can't see this selling out with all the promos going on
No big deal, guys. Just got off the phone with Vivid and everyone is good. The current listing is correct. Pano never got that cheap. What a steal. I'd suspect with all of those active StubHub listings, prices there could spike too. Jay-Z AND the Peppers in NYC? What's going on?

It is odd.. last year had good reviews too, no? I don't think prices even got that low last year, did they? (Relatively speaking, since it was 2 days)
i wish they weren't' shipping so late... my friend bought a saturday VIP ticket for almost twice what i paid for a 3 day VIP so i'm going to be skeptical until i'm in the gate

These lineups need a deeper/more unique undercards imo. So many of these acts have either toured heavily/or are just irrelevant. Either way the model of relying so heavily on a big name won't work in such a homogenized market.
It probably would have sold better if they just went all in on hip-hop. Throwing in an act like two door cinema club (who have been everywhere since 2011), doesn't do much in terms of recruiting the indie crowd. Gorillaz day will be busy I would imagine though.

i thought last years lineup was better also... at least for Indie. maybe it was too hard for them to fill out 3 days? Whatever, for 200 bucks i'll sit in VIP eating all day with a smile on my face. plus last years poster was tits

Definitely think last year was better indie lineup, but think this year has a better hip hop/rap lineup... and wasn't that the crowd that really showed up last year (despite the better indie lineup)?
Could be totally wrong, as I didn't go last year but that's what I seem to remember

no you're absolutely correct. i had an incredibly pleasant saturday in a sparsely packed festival watching a great day of indie. well curated and diverse.
sunday brought the children like locusts... i smoked until i no longer cared who i was watching. i think i left after that weird Twin Shadows Prince tribute.
Jesus, 3 day VIPs for ~$150 with the two tips shared in this thread are pretty wild. Congrats to everyone who pulled it off (and seems like many more still can with the Vivid listings).
