I've been up all night with a sick baby. In my downtime, I've started to put together a wishlist without really checking tour dates or availability. Royal Trux was announced for Pop Montreal today and I got super jealous.

Hell yea! Love this lineup. Excited for Solange, Future Islands, Big Boi, Angel Olsen, The Afghan Whigs, Thee Oh Sees, Oddisee, Hurray for the Riff Raff, PWR BTTM, Mount Eerie, Preoccupations, Cloud Nothings, Protomartyr, Big Thief, Cass McCombs Band, Cherry Glazerr, Tei Shi, JLin, Florist, Hoops, and Sound of Ceres. This is going to be a good time.
Is this festival like SXSW/Northside where there are multiple shows going at the same time at different venues? If so, how bad are the conflicts generally?
I think I'm gonna have to. I was trying to convince myself I needed to go to Osheaga or Fyf and I think this will more than hold me over through the end of the year.

Conflicts can be tough, but they do well with scheduling venues to have some sort of a theme to them where you can stay at one place all evening and be pretty happy. Last year's schedule is still up at the link if you wanna take a look.

Thanks. Looking at the schedule, I feel like it's theoretically possible to catch a lot of artists/bands a night as long as one avoids concerts at bigger venues.
The conflicts can be heartbreaking at times. One year they pitted one of my favorite bands of all time vs a band that wasn't ever supposed to play together again vs new upstart indie sensations that hadn't even played a show yet.

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
