That's how long it just took me to loose my shit at Mount Eerie.
I can vouch for this; I was sitting next to him but trying to avoid eye contact with anyone throughout the show because perpetually tear stricken face.
It was really fucking beautiful though, and felt extremely intimate and special. He played some new songs, that were basically a Part Two of "A Crow Looked at Me."
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Oh God, there's gonna be a second part? I'm not ready for it.

There were lines into everything I walked past last night. Hope you stayed in Neptunes as most everything was one in/one out as I walked by. Decided for pizza over a show after Aldous Harding. I do not regret that decision.
So an hour of Solange. It was a super short set and I don't know why.
Top sets of the weekend: 1.) Tei Shi (incredible sunset set at Red Hat) 2.) Preoccupations (they delivered) 3.) Afghan Whigs (sounded great; 1st time seeing them; felt a bit rushed)

A pretty whirlwind weekend. Perfect weather, and obviously Raleigh is always fun.
Managed to catch all of or parts of:
Big Thief Mount Eerie The Brian Jonestown Massacre Sunflower Bean The Make Up Run the Jewels Future Islands Har Mar Superstar Lee Fields Preoccupations Afghan Whigs Flock of Dimes Phonte Big Boi Naked Naps Advance Base Dear Nora Cende Japanese Breakfast Cloud Nothings Mary Timony
Tops for me (in no order) were Sunflower Bean, Lee Fields, RTJ, Future Islands, Advance Base (think Mount Eerie but with a drum machine/keyboard instead of acoustic), Mount Eerie, and Japanese Breakfast. Unfortunately, started getting a migraine during Preoccupations so my enjoyment levels went down quite a bit for Afghan Wigs.
Cloud Nothings were pretty disappointing but they had mentioned they played LA the night before. I had hoped to see Cherry Glazerr, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Kevin Morby, Buke & Gase, and Mannequin Pussy but unfortunately they all conflicted with JB.
Attendance seemed down for last year, at least in the Amphitheater and the Plaza.
Brewery Bahvana is the best meal I've ever had.
Overall a great time, can't wait to go back next year.

For those that I hung out with on Saturday and knew what happened the night before, i can finally hear outta my left ear again, but after going to the audiologist today, I was told it's not going to improve too much from where it is now (which is like 75%. I'm missing low tones in my tests). I've decided to lay off the live music for a bit in hopes it might get better. Doubtful but it makes me feel like I'm being active.
For those that don't know: If you ever see King Woman live, bring earplugs. I left that show feeling vertigo and missed the rest of the night because I couldn't hear or see anything going on in front of me. Lesson learned.
