So hey guys long time no attend... The weeknd is a lock? Wonder if I still have my street team points. Not really that excited about anything else in the confirmed or likely column..It's like they don't want people to come anymore. I was there for the hottest roo (2011) and the best lineup (2013) also went in 2014. Haven't been back since then.
2011 was the hottest? I thought it was always like that.
The last 2 years we just as hot i think. I know 2012 was the coldest

I'd add The Head and the Heart to the list of likely/probable artists. Like Young the Giant, they have no TN dates, and they're playing LaureLive (Cleveland, OH) on Sunday, June 11.
I'd be ok with this so long as it meant Whitney (their opener) came back too!

Whitney are in the batch of artists ruled out from NOS Primavera unfortunately
nah, 2009 anco at the which stage puts any other roo heat to shame
That show felt bad to me while I was there, but looking back the heat probably destroyed the experience.
It destroyed my experience. It was too hot to dance, much less really move. I still vividly remember watching the show pretty much huddled up against a tree because that's the only sliver of shade I could find. It was so hot I couldn't really objectively judge if AnCo was killing it or not.

Ya, that was a terrible time for them to play. Especially Merriweather Post Pavilion material. It was my first time seeing AnCo, and they were a big draw getting me there that year. I thought the show was great, but I was pretty close with the other die hards. I'm sure the energy in the mid to back was sorely lacking.
I think they got scheduled that time because one of the members (maybe Geologist?) had a wedding he had to attend later.

Must not be a Troo Bonnaroovian, otherwise he'd have skipped that bullshit wedding.
Everyone knows you shouldn't schedule your wedding during festival season, let alone Bonnaroo.

Idk about everyone else but so far our confirmed looks like 2016 all over again. A stacked top line, and a mediocre or less than mediocre undercard with a few surprises....emphasis on "few." I'll remain optimistic, but Roo isn't making this easy on me so far.

This definitely feels like a continuation of what 2016 was like. Maybe U2 and The Weeknd will help with the sales. While 2016 was objectively one of the worst lineups in the festival's history, there still happened to be enough artists I really liked to get me there. Also being only three hours away, if I wanted to see a band like LCD Soundsystem or Tame Impala that year, Bonnaroo was my best choice. But the headliners for 2017 aren't really artists that I care for all that much. I need a good undercard to get me excited and so far it's not looking good. I mean Chance the Rapper and The Avalanches are huge draws for me but I need a little more...

Strawman do you feel better about your xx-to-Roo source now? Lorde is at GovBall and I'm assuming the Tame Impala confusion for Panorama was just a misunderstanding about the Ronson/Kevin Parker shindig.

Sure. The Tame Impala thing still throws me off, but Lorde being at GovBall is in line. Not a ton more confident than I was, but I'm still thinking Roo got them.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

Glass Animals are playing Primavera and GB, so why isn't the xx? Unless they're playing Panorama. Idk how everyone keeps assuming xx is playing Roo, so far the only US fest that has the xx is Chella.
