It's once-in-a-lifetime collaborations like that that make Bonnaroo so magical!
It's gonna be another Skrillex Superjam this year. Skrillex won't be there or anything, it'll just be other DJs no one's heard of pressing play and table standing on older Skrillex/Kaskade/cheese EDM Roo used to get
The Skrilex super Jam was awesome though... because it wasn't about cheese edm. They had Robby Krieger of the Doors and Mickey Hart of the Dead, plus acts like Mystikal, Janelle Monae, and Lauryn Hill.
It was about as far as 2016's superjam as you could get

Either way that Saturday LN was the peak of Bonnaroo's booking potential. When you've got Nick Cave, a respectable Skrillex superjam and Frank Ocean all as LN options within the same two hour block, you've got something special.
This year attendees will get to choose between Borgore, Louis the Child and Waka Flocka Flame as LN options, and no one will play past 2 a.m.

You forgot the pinnacle of that peak, Darkside. No better way to end that night.

But what if I want to listen to EDM at this year's late night?
I mean, Umphrey's will play till sunrise again. Beyond excited they will be there again. Gonna be so mad if they aren't late night. So much wasted potential!

Who knows if they'll be allowed to this year. Last year had hard cutoffs at the late night options.
Sunrise sets on anything but the Kalliope might be a thing of the past. And thinking about it, I'm pretty sure they made Kalliope shut down at 5am last year.
I mean, STS9 didn't even get an extended set when they were LN in '15. Everyone assumed it would happen since they're STS9, but they didn't.

That's fine, but Bonnaroo can pick way better EDM options,

Is this for real? I didn't go last year. If they are ending late night sets then I will finally move fests. That is what I loved about roo.

nothing was scheduled past 3am this year
they even shut down the festival for almost 2 hours, and when they resumed they rescheduled everything to STILL end at 3am, creating a bunch more overlap
