I had a pretty bad experience seeing Pearl Jam at Roo. I Would be pretty excited if they were at Wayhome to see if I could have a more enjoyable time.
What didn't you like about the roo show? It was one of my favorites
I kind of thought they were going through the motions. Also, have a lot of their songs always sounded so "thin" live? The heavier songs didn't pack the punch I was expecting and the tempo seemed faster in some songs when compared to the recorded version.

ha, I was hoping someone would ask! I thought they put on a great show and McCready was blowing my mind. I just had a bad day. I am not that tall of a guy and my eyesight isn't the greatest, So I like to get up close. I got on the rail no problem for Kanye in 14 and Kendrick in 15. I was hoping to do the same for PJ. When they opened up the What field I was running to get a spot in line and a security guard pushed me down and I landed on my thumb awkwardly. Thumb didn't really work that well till September! Even after that, I Still ended up like 5-10ish in the PJ line. Then Macklemore was so bad that Mother Nature herself tried to stop his show and we had to evacuate. After the evac, I got back near the front of the line, but got separated from my friends. Instead of trying to fight for the rail I waited for them and ended up in the 3rd row. Still pretty close, but the dude in front of me had this sombrero on. He never took it off the whole show! I couldn't see anything.
Basically, I just got super owned all day. I would like to see Pearl Jam when I can actually see them and also my thumb isn't hurting and I'm not all stressed out all day.

That's pretty crazy. Hopefully PJ show up at wayhome so you can see them again.

Firefly refugee here.. dear god let this festival deliver a solid lineup.
Brand loyalty is out the door, if anyone can put together a decent lineup within 8 hours of NYC this year than I'm in.
Drove from NYC last year and it's about 10 1/2 hours with the border and gas stops.
But Wayhome is such a dope festival and it's a breath of fresh air compared to Firefly (which I also love and go to every year) - it's smaller, you camp next to front gate, not as crowded, nicer people.

GovBall? Panorama? Boston Calling?
Have you ever been to Gov Ball? I went for single days in 2013, 2014 and 2015. It's awful. Decent lineup, awful crowds and vendors outweigh the positives though. It's a bunch of trust fund baby's running around borderline overdosing and pushing their way through crowds and cutting lines.
Panorama piques my interest, I don't think there's enough of a draw for any one particular day this year though.
Boston Calling.. this I actually considered. However two 3 day passes and a hotel on Memorial Day weekend adds up to something around $1,000. Cost isn't necessarily an issue, I just don't see that much value in it considering I don't care about Tool or Chance and I saw Mumford last year.

Certainly a hell of a treck which is a bit of a turnoff. Obviously Osheaga is closer but with the venue change this year I'm not sure that I'm willing to take a chance. I figure I could get a group of guys together for an RV trip if the lineup is strong enough here. Sounds like Firefly the first year in terms of layout/size.

As long as you have a few friends with you the drive isn't bad. We drove through the night Thursday taking turns sleeping and 3.5 hour shifts and it was a piece of cake. Driving back on Monday when you're a bit beat up from the weekend is a bit rough but again taking shifts makes it bearable.

Yeah the GovBall crowds are pretty terrible. But if they continue to book great lineups I'll continue to go. I go to Coachella for the "full festival experience" that people talk about. I go to all the other fests to see acts like The Strokes or Radiohead that don't give much love to the midwest
So, according to someone on Reddit, the headliners are A Tribe Called Quest, Imagine Dragons and Frank Ocean. I'm taking it with a grain of salt.
Not bad, if true. Undercard would be the deciding factor.
Bad. It's basically Sasquatch if you sub ATCQ for Chance.
A Tribe Called Quest is a sub-headliner at major fests - not a good look for a Pano subheadliner to headline Wayhome after last year when they matched.
Imagine Dragons match the level crappiness of Twenty One Pilots minus the fans.
Frank Ocean is a good get but he can't carry a headlining bill.

I love both ATCQ and Frank... Last year I loved LCD and AF. I don't care about Imagine Dragons or The Killers. For my tastes its the same thing as last year.
