Bad. It's basically Sasquatch if you sub ATCQ for Chance.
A Tribe Called Quest is a sub-headliner at major fests - not a good look for a Pano subheadliner to headline Wayhome after last year when they matched.
Imagine Dragons match the level crappiness of Twenty One Pilots minus the fans.
Frank Ocean is a good get but he can't carry a headlining bill.
I love both ATCQ and Frank... Last year I loved LCD and AF. I don't care about Imagine Dragons or The Killers. For my tastes its the same thing as last year.
you can not care about the killers but you gotta admit they make much better music than imagine dragons. i wouldnt put them on the same level.

I understand that The Killers are objectively more popular.. But I personally do not care about either of those acts just as equally.
I was planning on going to this last year until I won free Panorama tickets. Had I gone, I was pretty happy that The Killers were playing Sunday so I could have just left early.
Not bad, if true. Undercard would be the deciding factor.

I think there's a good chance Tame Impala shows up in the Wayhome undercard so if they do then they'd each have a headliner that is a sub at the other fest.

I never really cared for The Killers music, but they completely won me over when I saw them live.

Right on. I saw them years ago at Firefly. I wasn't really a fan. I heard they were good last year when they played Gov Ball too. But I went to see M83 instead and was pretty happy with that choice.
Tame is headlining Panorama but a sub-headliner at Wayhome? hmmm
What other fest has ID headlined?
To be fair they have a top four that could read ATCQ - Frank Ocean - NIN - Tame Impala
WH will HOPEFULLY be ATCQ - Frank Ocean - Imaginary Set Cause I'll be skipping it - Tame Impala (3 out of 4 is great for me this year)
And the highest I saw ID placed was FF 2014 at a number 4, so it makes sense for them to still be there or move up a slot. And if Tame, The Strokes, or Phoenix aren't in that 4 spot I'll probably make the trip to Eaux Claires this year.
Bottlerock and Life is Beautiful in 2015. Not sure if they've headlined any others.
They were fifth at Osheaga '13.
Also, lol at all you yahoos who don't think ATCQ should headline, even without Phife.
Top 3 isn't a sell for me at this point, but a good undercard will get me there.
I don't think an artists booking in 2013 has any relevance to them today. At that point many headlining level artists were still undercard acts such as The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, Twenty One Pilots, and more.

Don't get me wrong, I hate their placement here if it's true. Just passing on my limited Imagine Dragons knowledge.

Oh no doubt I agree. I live in Toronto so I'll likely be attending regardless. Really wish the 'rock' headliner was someone else.
Imagine Dragons is obviously The 21p of this fest. Shitty but will move lots of tickets.
Frank Ocean is a solid headliner
ATCQ is one of the best hip hop acts PERIOD. Any fest would be lucky to have them top the bill. This is also the same fest that had Sam Smith and Alt-j listed as headliners until they added ol Neil. I think Tame, Phoenix, or Beck, or somebody rounding out 4 is a hell of a solid lineup.

Will Imagine Dragons move tickets though?
Look I loathe Twenty One Pilots but I understand why festivals book them. They have a massive hit album with radio singles, a rabid fan base who write fan fiction about them, and so on.
Do Imagine Dragons really have that? Smoke + Mirrors came out like 2 year ago and it's not like it set the world on fire. I get that they play arena's but I've never bought in to that as a huge factor. F'ing Bastille is playing Barclays Center.

Lol. Beat me to it. Haven't seen a single positive comment about Imagine Dragons.

They have a new single and album coming out. And I'm sure while being straight dog shit it will be huge.
2017 Shows Sam Roberts Band, Wilco, Local Natives, Ryan Adams(!), Chance the Rapper, Future Islands, Frightened Rabbit, TOOL, Field Trip Music Festival, Gary Clark Jr., Arkells w/July Talk, Gorillaz, Tom Petty, Metallica, Muse, Incubus, Lollapalooza (!!!),Kings of Leon, Deep Purple & Alice Cooper, Father John Misty, War on Drugs
I get the complaining because every lineup has complainers. Every Headliner has haters.
But for me: ATCQ - IG - FRANK is making me think hard about skipping Roo for Wayhome. Much cheaper, 11 hours closer. I would have to skip my friends wedding (7/29) too!
Throw in Tame and they can have my money, I'm there.
Imagine Dragons as a number two would be complete dog shit! They had three radio play songs and one collaboration with rappers. To me that's like saying Of Monsters and Men is headliner material. Twenty One Pilots is in the same category however they had a good album (Vessel) and then their follow up had major radio hits. Imagine Dragons did the opposite with a radio friendly first album and then a flop. They aren't really relevant and haven't been since 2013. Just seems like a major waste of a lineup spot
Yeah I don't understand why people are complaining
Because Frank and ATCQ are huge unknowns this year. The last time Frank toured his sets were pretty awful, anyone remember him singing with just a backing track, no live band, late night at Roo? That set was terrible. With the abstract and subdued nature of Blonde, do you really think a Frank set with 20-30k people is going to go over well? I'd love for him to prove me wrong but I think he's better suited for indoor, more intimate shows with his sound.
ATCQ w/o Phife is just wrong. The SNL performance was meh and I've seen Q Tip live before and it's always been hit or miss.
I was expecting a bit of a stepback this year, which it most definitely is, but Tribe would be one sweet consolation prize. Though if this leak is bunk and I could have a shot at three totally different headliners, I might take the chance and go with option B.
On Reddit, people seem to think they are saving $$$ w/ the Top 3 headliners, and having a STACKED undercard w/ 3 potential headliners as pre-headliners...
One rumor has : Frank / ATCQ / Imagine Dragons Chance / Tame Impala / Childish Gambino........
If its something close to that, they can have Imagine Dragons on there all they want.....................
Imagine Dragons is obviously The 21p of this fest. Shitty but will move lots of tickets.
Will they, though? If Reddit is anything to go by, even 21P had more defenders.
The big difference is the fans. I love shitty pop music. TOP is one of my faves. But I'd much rather have a weekend full of Dragon fans then Twenty One Pilots fans. Worst people in the world (debatably), but they buy tickets to anywhere they are.
