Monday, November 28th from Midnight until Noon Wayhome 2017 passes go on sale. Not sure on pricing/camping but I assume the lineup will be out... Soon.
2015 | Fleetwood Mac, Father John Misty, Bleachers, Wussy, Walk the Moon (x2), The Black Keys, Kacey Musgraves, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Avett Brothers, Shakey Graves, twenty one pilots (unfortunately), The Front Bottoms, Snoop Dogg, The Rolling Stones, Future Islands, alt-J, Courtney Barnett, The Gaslight Anthem, Com Truise, Girl Talk, Run the Jewels, Modest Mouse, Kendrick Lamar, Danny Brown, Broods, Brandon Flowers, Sam Smith, Goo Goo Dolls
I had an awesome time at this fest last year. A bit more diversity in the food and drink offerings and it would have been perfect. I wouldn't mind Gambino, really hoping for an MMJ or QotSA headliner though.
They really need better food and drinks and more organization with carding for drinks. My only other complaint would be that there was not enough shade.
As for the line up...I really don't want to see Childish Gambino at the top of the bill.

an alcohol wristband is so easy to do and would make sense if they are pushing the cashless/walletless thing. I'm not sure if the city has regulations against that but it would speed up lines during peak hours

I have to think there's going to be a significant amount of cross-over with Panorama (which is the same weekend). Last year, there were 12 cross-over acts (including Arcade Fire and LCD Soundsystem).
So I think it's safe to say WayHome will get at least a couple of the following: Frank Ocean, Solange, Tame Impala, Nine Inch Nails, MGMT, Tyler the Creator, Spoon, Nicolas Jaar, Belle & Sebastian, Justice, Jagwar Ma, Kiiara.

Yeah, Panorama being the same weekend bodes well for WayHome's lineup. I'm also hoping for some good mid-to-lower card Canadian acts like Japandroids, Alvvays, and Preoccupations. Also crossing my fingers for Phoenix and Fleet Foxes, both of which I expect to be touring in North America in August.

Alvvays and Preoccupations (fka Viet Cong) played WayHome in 2015. We'll see if the organizers think it's too early or not for repeats.
I'd say there's a good chance for Japandroids though. Along with other Canadian acts like PUP, Mother Mother, and Crystal Castles.

They did wristbands on the second day but the fuckery around it was nuts. Some had them, some didn't. They also did the cashless thing but then wanted you to confirm orders on an ipad and then that made the bartenders push for tips.
Damn didn't realize this was the same weekend as Pano/Newport. Probably means I'm out. Really hoping Eaux Claires pulls through with another great lineup so I can do a camping fest this year.

Really hoping this is impressive, want to convince my friends to go back again after last year. Panorama is pretty solid, but if the really good acts crossover and they get some exclusives- I'm all in

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Japandroids haven't popped up on any festival lineups this year, which is kind of bizarre with their new album dropping in like two weeks. Hoping WayHome can pull them as CanCon, along with Carly Rae Jepsen who is my number one artist to see right now.

A buddy in the industry told me that he heard Justice and Imagine Dragons will both be there. I think its probably reliable but far from a lock. Id like to see Justice but Imagine Dragons would be fucking awful, even in the best case scenario where they put them at Waybright right before a good headliner and it thins out the crowd (like Alt-J 2 years ago) its still a complete waste of a top 5 or 6 spot on one of the worst bands on earth. Very much pulling for japandroids because I like to see them as much as possible but it will be the 4th show to the Toronto area in a year, seems like a stretch.

Would imagine dragons really be billed 5 or 6? I'm probably very out of touch, but I can't see them being billed that high even at a smaller fest like this.

Yeah, last time they came to my hometown they played the same venue as Dead and Co, Fleetwood Mac, The Black Keys and Paul McCartney

Im pretty sure off their really big album they played the ACC here in Toronto, although Im not sure if it was the full arena or the half arena configuration theyve done in the past for bands like the National and Sigur Ros (still 9k seats though)
Could see Justice playing in the Major Lazer spot late night on WayBright.
I wonder if they are big enough that they consider giving them a late night on the mainstage like what deadmau5 did at roo a couple years ago. Think it will probably just end up being the Major Lazer spot though.

I think they have a wonderful main stage and would love to see them take advantage of it.
Shows how much I know. I haven't even thought about Imagine Dragons in like 5 years. I am okay with it though if the lineup is Unique headliner/Panorama Cross over/Gambino/Justice/Imagine Dragons

I agree. They've been pretty solid booking headliners and in what seems to be a pivotal year those headliners would leave most pretty perplexed. I'd actually be okay with Phoenix and NIN (though I'm sure there are people who will question their status as headliners), but Imagine Dragons would seem like a big drop down.
