Additionally, I don't know any 21-25ers that are particularly psyched about the EDM lineup outside of a few acts like G. Jones or RL Grime (e.g. instead of bringing in eclectic stuff, they brought in DJ Snake and Dillon Francis). Galantis is going to sell tickets to 16-20 year olds, but they would be there anyway.
fwiw, the voodoo subreddit was super stoked about the EDM artists when the lineup dropped.

I'm talking about 10-15 of the locals I know who do travel to things like Bass Center, 360, PL Live (bunch of them were at the Gorge for the PL 3 weeks ago), Lights All Night, Imagine, Okeechobee and what have you. It's generic for the most part, though there are things to like. I haven't much looked at the EDM lineup because there's not much on it that appealed to me. I'm going to look now and pick out the ones I know and say what I'm going to do.
LCD Soundsystem - Are they EDM
Galantis - No Chance
Yellow Claw - Will Skip
Illenium - Will Skip
Louis the Child - No chance
Dillon Francis - Might See Some
Crystal Castles - Might See Some (have skipped numerous times)
NGHTMRE - Might See Some (have seen, okay I guess)
RL Grime - Will See
G. Jones - Will See
Mija, Zander, Unicorn Fuckr, Herb Christoph, Carmine P. Filthy, Tokimonsta, SNBRN, - Probably Skip
I don't remember the others or whether I would or wouldn't consider seeing them. This is just one old guy's opinion. I'm going this year for the rock, blues and some of the rap.

esteban we are pretty much the same with regards to the EDM artists for this fest. I'll catch RL Grime and G Jones, probably catch Dillon Francis unless he conflicts with another headliner. Everything else is pretty much trash. I could maybe see myself at NGHTMRE if there is nothing else going on.

Wow there's a lot wrong with this post. I'm crying
You shouldn't be. I dislike pop EDM and trendy dance music. The Top 4 are dismal - though I know you like Galantis. I haven't ever found anything they've done that I remotely like as it sounds like pop-radio EDM to me. Ditto Louis the Child. I've seen Yellow Claw once, and that was enough. Illenium is pretty weak.
For the take it or leave it Yellow - I've seen Dillon Francis a few times. He plays okay stuff at times and annoying stuff at times. Crystal Castles is also annoying to me. I've seen them on live streams, but I've always skipped them at festivals due to conflicts with better artists. I saw NGHTMRE last year. Again, he was okay but it was pretty generic.
For the orange acts, I just don't really get into any of them. I might stop by Tokimonsta because I missed her at Buku in 2016. I don't really like the music she plays, but I respect her. Same for Mija.

Y'all. Stop with this nonsense. LCD is going to be on Altar stage before Kendrick. Their sets are not going to coincide. Galantis will be on Le Plur during Kendrick.

welcome to inforoo!
i hope you are correct. LCD > Kendrick on the same stage would be a badass one two punch.
Damn. I was all embroiled in Day for Night and forgot the daily's were out today.
Friday: Kendrick, LCD, Prophets of Rage, Afghan Whigs, Marian Hill, NGTMRE, Benjamin Booker, Chicano Batman, Alfred Banks
Saturday: Foo Fighters, Brand New, RL Grime, Live, The Black Angels, Vintage Trouble, Rich Chigga, Record Company, Pell, Black Pistol Fire <--- Gonna have to agree with pwm here, not exactly a weak day though they could have bigger names
Sunday: Killers/Dillon Francis, Head & Heart, G. Jones, Ron Gallo, Mannequin Pussy, Malik 95, Bleached, Werd2Jah
Sunday is really the weak day for me. I'll make the best out of it and just tool around.

Y'all are fucking crazy/naive and obviously have never been to Voodoo fest if you don't think that LCD will be on Le Plur at the same time that Kendrick is kicking it on the Alter stage. That is what is going down kiddos.
