i'm still able to pull seats. floor and about a 1/3rd of the lower balcony sold out quickly, but plenty of lower balcony and upper balcony seats still remain.
Ok kids got our wristbands in the mail yesterday. Now im ready to party with everyone.
We bought tickets to see the Killers here in Jan and they came with the new album (on CD!) which I have to say is pretty good. Worth a listen before the fest for sure.
I wasn’t planning to attend Voodoo this year due to the stupid VIP prices, but the secondary market is under strain and I got a nice deal on a Platinum VIP from a good guy.

Good score. It’s catered and usually prepared by a decent chef, but they haven’t released any information yet on that. Voodoo released their food lineup which has some new vendors this year - some I know and some I don’t. Menus aren’t out yet, Looks pretty fire.
Blue Oak BBQ - one of the better bbq places in town
Boucherie - Good smoked meats and some of the better wings in town.
Brats Y’all - Decent Brats and sausages
Buds Broiler - Overrated local charcoal burger place. Edible but eh
Cafe Navarre - decent lunch cafe
Cajun Corner - Okay caterer that does the dome and arena
Cartazzo’s - decent baker does crawfish bread and shit like that
Crepes a la Carte - good local crepe maker. Their bacon basil and mozzarella is good
Crescent City Grill - ?
Dat Dog - probably the best retail hot dogs and sausages in town
Ernst Cafe - pretty decent warehouse district bar with good burgers and specials
Frencheeze - foods and sandwiches with cheese
Jambalaya Grill - catering company but ?
Koz’s - okay poboy shop in lakeview
Mona’s - decent Lebanese place in town
Nola Pho Life - Vietnamese caterers
Pecks Seafood - Slidell restaurant. Never been
Petite Rouge - pretty good coffee and teas
Reginelli’s Pizza - midgrade pizza
Restaurant des Familes - a well known and respected restaurant from around Lafitte. I’ve been wanting to go there for years so I’ll probably try what they have.
Romega Taqueria - says its L.A. street tacos. Can’t find anything on them
Rusty Pelican - a Northshore bar and grill. Heard it was decent.
Swamp Kitchen - some type of Cajun catering company
The Big Cheezy - a higher end grilled cheese place.
Attending first time - ubering from hotel - my normal plan each day is leave, fine a restaurant/pub/brewery in walking distance and hunker down till the rush is done. Any suggestions?

Here's the deal. If you are staying downtown, you won't need Uber. You can streetcar it there for like $1.25. They also have shuttle service from a couple of spots downtown. I'm not sure if it's free or $5.00 each way or whatever. If you're staying in Metairie or elsewhere, you'll need Uber or Taxi service.
I'm assuming you're talking about "after" the festival is over, correct? There are only a couple of options, because we're sort of in a residential corridor, many of the earlier evening restaurant options in that neighborhood will be closed. Wisner Blvd. (the main street that fronts City Park and is between City Park and Bayou St. John) turns into North Carrollton Avenue at City Park Avenue. You can walk up North Carrollton and come to a bar called Parkview Tavern. It's a casual sports bar that goes late night but is liable to be packed since it's the first stop on the way out. They go until 3:00am on Friday and Saturdays. You could walk up a little farther closer to our house, and you'll come to Wit's Inn. Wit's stays open until 3 also (sometimes later) and is okay for bar food. It's on the corner of North Carrolton and Iberville Street. They are known for 32 oz drafts and certain mixed drinks. I don't think anything else will be open late except Red Door across the street. That's kind of a dive bar that I think might be open 24 hours.
Edit - can't embed the URL address for the map, but if you type "Wit's Inn" you'll see it's a few blocks down N. Carrollton from City Park.
The other option is to continue down Moss Street (that's the street that runs along Bayou St. John). See map above. Instead of going down Esplanade, just walk down Moss until it becomes Jefferson Davis. It's about a 1/2 mile walk. Bayou Beer Garden & Bayou Wine Garden are there. They are both highly cool and hopping places on the weekend and stay open until 2 though the very good kitchen closes at 12.
There are a thousand other options that I would happily recommend, but again since Voodoo goes to 11:00, they will be closed. Let me know if you have any specific questions as far as around where you're staying.

In another thread somebody said at a recent show LCD came on an hour after ticket start time, with a DJ opening up the show. So maybe LCD starts at midnight?
Sold, but thanks. thejeremy just won free tickets so it looks like I am going now. My girl is still looking for a ticket for her son, so if anyone hears of a ticket for sell, please let me know.

Good for him. Yo Zaitch, did you make any money off it or just got your money back? I ended up selling my 2 GA's at Face to 2 of my kids, and I still have the extra Platinum. We'll use that if I can't get anything off of it and will just alternate days with each of my 3 kids for who goes Platinum with me each day. Really fucked up this year how the secondary market was oversaturated with cheap bands. If the SVIP prices go up early next week, I might post it and see if I can't turn a dollar or two.
Looked at the schedule for the first time today. I have to work Friday, but I am going to go after work and hopefully catch some Benjamin Booker then Prophets of Rage and Kendrick. Saturday, I was planning on a French Quarter Skate night and I only want to see three acts so I am going to go for Pell, The Black Angels (saw at ACL), K. Flay. If you go out that night and see girls in ghoul outfits on skate, yell Vieux...that's my krewe. Sunday is my actual birthday and there are more that I want to see. I will be out there all day and probably rolling solo. Would love to meet up. Looking at Mannequin Pussy, Strands of Oaks, Cold War Kids, Head and the Heart, Post Malone and the Killers. Could be swayed to see others.
Yeah I basically got my money back after the StubHub fees which was fine. If I lived anywhere near NOLA I'd be at that shit no questions asked. That Friday with LCD>Kendrick is gonna be insane.
Well nevermind, tickets were just for Saturday only. I am not going at all again.
Figure that shit out. Rob someone on the street if necessary. It’s probably going to be sunny and 70s all weekend and 60s in the evening. Too far out to know for sure, but it looks like a long stretch of great weather after the rain this Sunday.
