I think Reznor lived in New Orleans for a while, can't remember when. But he definitely has some sort of connection to the city.
I've only seen NIN twice, both times at Voodoo, and both shows were on my top five shows list of all time at some point. Reznor really knows what he is doing with a live show. So I'd be thrilled to have them back.

If I remember right Reznor recorded a lot in New Orleans. I believe his old studio was there. I think he kind of took Manson in and gave him his shot and the two had some kind of a falling out with each other.
I know they have some kind of history and I believe it's connected with being in Nola together.

Tool and Rob Zombie also recorded in his old studio but I am not sure if it was just recorded there or if Reznor claimed production also. There were some crazy ass parties in that "studio."

2013 was such a money lineup. Pearl Jam was the best show I saw that year, and Nails were awesome. They brought some of the black and white strobe element I had only ever seen the Buttholes use in the early 90s where the lighting takes away color and replaces with shades of grey. Big G was awesome that year too.

Yeah, I think that was the first time I did the EDM scene too. If I remember right Calvin Harris was playing at the same time as Kid Rock, and I wasn't going to Kid Rock for anything.
2013 was a good year. I always loved voodoo. Weather is normally perfect at the end of October and you get a nice chill when the sun sets. Another really good memory was 2011? when Jack White was there. Could have been 2012 though.
Makes me miss Voodoo. I may have to pop in this year. Moved from BR to Houston in the last two years so it's hard to get back to Nola for a weekend now.
Trent had Nothing Records studio in a former funeral home/mortuary I want to say. That era sucked for me because I wanted to be a part of the nola goth scene so bad but I was way too young.
NIN & Manson were my shit back in those days and I still listen to both a lot.
Manson in this era would fit in at Voodoo for a preheadlining spot. Guy has some drug induced meltdowns lately it seems, but when he opened for Pumpkins at Champion's Square last year it was awesome. If it hadn't been a nostalgia act for me it might not have been as subjectively good though.
Only one old sold (Lunchbox) and mainly singles after that. I want to hear Antichrist or Mechanical Animals all the way through.

well i knew 2017 was gonna be a down year for live music but man i cant catch a break. My cousin changed her wedding date from Thanksgiving weekend to Halloween weekend lol so ill have a cheap(er) ticket for whoever as this fest nears.
