They have gotten progressively bigger all week so I would assume so. Really want to do this but it is super unlikely.
Cmon man do the lockn peach double !
With all of my other travel I dont think the GF will be home when I return if I do. She is already not super happy. Ill still push that envelope a bit though.
Jim James just announced himself. Feels weird for that to be the only name they announce today, but there can't be too many more additions, right? It already seems a bit bigger than last year

Tried telling everybody Avetts would close it down one night, didn't think they would close down the festival though. Overall, I think it's a nice lineup spread out fairly well. Hard to argue Friday is not the best day...but I think every day has plenty to enjoy for the crowd that attends this festival. My only complaint is J-RAD getting back-to-back LN spots. Could have let one of the Gov't Mule sets be LN Friday, give moe the Saturday night spot, or even give the opportunity to Tauk or PPPP.
I'm planning to pull this off. At the very least a Friday pass.
I'm leaning towards just doing Lockn' because Phil. I am a Deadhead and this lineup is great for that. Plus I have never done Lockn' before. Something new after five years of Peach (and other fests).
However, I know a ton of people at and involved with Peach, it is closer, all my friends/family will be there (and my sister-in-law who is one of my musical partners in crime can't make Lockn')and I just love Peach. So the decision is a tough one.
So now it is about 60/40 that I am going to do the Peach/Lockn' double and then Bourbon and Beyond a few weeks later. Likely canceling my Dead and Co. Pittsburgh trip and leaving Peach Sunday evening instead of Monday to equal out the time.
A couple questions:
I won tickets but not included camping. Recommendations on tent, car or forest?
Can you BYOB to the Blue Ridge Bowl shows/late night? I have seen a lot of stuff saying that you can but wanted to confirm.
Anything else a newbie but experienced other fest goer should know?

Forest camping looked goddamn amazing last year BUT you can also save the cash, get tent or car camping and just haul your shit to Garcia's Forest for your shaded snoozing pleasure. That forest was one of the coolest things I've ever seen at a festival. Great spot to chill with a beer until the heat subsides.
And yes, BYOB in effect everywhere but the main stage. And the main stage security lines got so long prior to headliners that they were just waving everyone in anyway. Saw a guy openly swigging from a 60 of Jack at Phish. Man, Lockn kicks ass.

Didn't realize it was BYOB for the Blue Ridge Bowl, that's pretty awesome...especially with all the early shows this year.
Only 100 days out. A few tickets I need to purchase for things around AVL in the next 2-3 weeks, then hopefully locking down my lockn ticket (see what I did?). Portugal the Man is playing in my neck of the woods the night before Lockn starts, which should work out nicely for me.
A couple people on the Lockn' boards were talking about Dead and Co. Thursday. That doesnt make sense. A bunch of people talking yesterday about an upcoming HUGE announcement. Im guessing its the Bobby stuff but I would like to be surprised.
Whoa, according to the 2017 map Lockn posted, they completely re-jigged the site. Blue Ridge Bowl is now part of the main show field. And the Woods stage has been replaced by a Garcia's Forest/Terrapin hybrid area. Interesting...
Seems everyone has the same question.....does this mean no more BYOB at the Blue ridge Bowl stage. it's pretty much every other question they are getting on FB.
