I doubt a Roo set goes off without I Will follow, Vertigo, Elevation in tow somewhere. at least 2 of 3. Roo will be hit heavy. Deep cuts will be at a minimum esp if they only give them 90 mins- which will most likely be 120 mins. Unless they go all Jack White and go for close to 3 hours.
The more I think of it they kinda of have to go longer if they're gonna do JT in full. That's gonna basically take up an hour, plus the encore break, throw in the usual hits of one, sunday bloody sunday, new years day, beautiful day, and pride and that'd be almost the whole show. It won't be crazy by any means but let the kids go to Major Lazer or whatever the fuck is going on, and let U2 go at least another 20 mins or so and get in another 4-5 songs.
I told my brother the same thing- he text me "90 f--- minutes!" I'd imagine 2 hours is what will happen. 20 to 24 songs. That seems to be the shortest they can do. Regardless, U2 is a beautiful experience- can't wait to hear them on the farm.

I'm wondering if they're only scheduled for 90 minutes because that's what Live Nation is paying them for?
Seems ridiculous that if they know they'll play way longer they'll schedule them that way
I'll be disappointed if it isn't the same length as every other show on the tour, since they're one of the main reasons I didn't sell my ore-sale ticket

Why would U2 take less money for a shorter set at Bonnaroo? I just think that's how long Live Nation wants them to play.
Guys, this is an almost unprecedented set length for a top billed act. I'd get myself mentally in a place where U2 plays 12-15 songs in 80-85 minutes. This is just what the festival has devolved into.

I so hope you're wrong, but you're probably right. I've begun preparing myself

I'm happy to come back here in mid-June and get ridiculed for being wrong. I really hope I am.
Band did their final dress rehearsal for the tour Tues night...the base setlist for the tour is below, some songs they rehearsed seemed to have gotten the axe, but theyre known to change up their setlists show to show so who knows.
Final rehearsed Set list:
No Surprises (intro music) Sunday Bloody Sunday New Years Day A Sort of Homecoming MLK Pride Where the Streets Have No Name I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For With or Without You Bullet The Blue Sky (Black Dog outro) Running to Stand Still Red Hill Mining Town (acoustic/piano) In Gods Country One Tree Hill Exit Mothers of the Disappeared (w/El Pueblo Vencera) Beautiful Day Elevation Ultraviolet One Miss Sarajevo
Still not sure I believe they'll end the show with Miss Sarajevo but we'll see. Also, this would be longer than their 90 min set at Roo.

Isn't the consensus they'll play over?
Someone just posted an interveiw with the tour designer on the FB inforoo group from Entertainment Weekly, and he says the show is a little over 2 hours.

Yeah I highly doubt they'll only play for 90 minutes at roo. We'll see though.
They could easily move the schedule back 30 minutes and give U2 at least two hours and it wouldn't really affect anything.
i wish they would do something like that, i want to be at major lazer and there's only a 15 minute gap. although after elevation i'd be content leaving with seeing all of those other songs

That setlist is amazing, hope they get to play the whole thing

Considering that set times have done nothing but get shorter, late nights have only ended earlier, U2 has a huge longstanding relationship with Live Nation, why would anyone expect U2 to play over 90 minutes at this point? After their worst ticket sales year ever wouldn't Bonnaroo showcase that they were giving everyone a full 2 to 2 and a half hour U2 concert?

right? i mean when they were announced as headliners no way would i have ever thought they would play for 90 min. that's just embarrassing
It seems like every year we speculate why on Earth Bonnaroo made whatever ridiculous decision they made regarding the set times. Then we get to Bonnaroo and find out it was just a dumb decision. I think U2 getting 1 1/2 hours was just them/Livenation being dumb.
I'm hoping for more but my expectations are firmly set that it'll be an hour and 30 mins. Which is going to feel like a blur if they play JT in full at Roo. I could see maybe open with the early hits sbs, nyd, pride, then JT, then just an encore of BD, Elevation, and One. No deep cuts other than what's on JT. I'd still be okay with that but it would be a shell of the normal show.

and me being an overall casual fan as i don't know all the catalog but it's one of my dad's favorite bands and i know all their hits for sure and will be a great time
The rehearsed setlist was spot on...the vids from last night look incredible. It,sucks that we can't get the full production at Roo..,that screen is massive.

Luckily the crowd will be small enough that we'll all be really close.
Yeah from everything I saw the visuals looked amazing. If we could get that same set and just leave off the last 2 songs given the time constraints, I'd be all over that.

Why couldn't Roo set up that screen overnight and have all the other artists play in front of it?
Yeah. It's a treat. Everything I've watched from opening night in Vancouver is great. The video work is unreal. Too bad they won't have the full setup at Bonnaro, because I was reconsidering for a moment. Also getting A Sort of Homecoming is excellent. I always thought Unforgettable Fire was the best album.
Fuck. Beautiful Day mostly is them playing, but about 4 minutes in you get ghost faces of the band. Damn. Overall it could be one of the best produced tours ever. Crazy that so many people want to dis U2.
Last night in Seattle they changed the set a little bit. They swapped Bad for MLK and closed the show with I Will Follow. Also, Eddie Vedder joined them for Mothers of the Disappeared.

Awesome that they are switching things up. I'm going to have to go look up the performance of Bad and I Will Follow from last night!
Irish rockers U2 continued The Joshua Tree Tour 2017 on Sunday night at CenturyLink Field in Seattle. U2 switched up the setlist a little bit from Friday’s opening show and welcomed hometown hero Eddie Vedder and members of English folk-rock act Mumford & Sons at one point in the evening.
Bono & Co. kicked off the evening with a mini-set of early classics including the tour debut of “Bad.” They also worked a snippet of “America” within “A Sort Of Homecoming.” U2 then played each and every track from their landmark 1987 album The Joshua Tree in the same order they are found on the record. For the finale, “Mothers Of The Disappeared,” Vedder came out to duet with Bono and opening act Mumford & Sons also emerged to help out.
Once again U2 ended the night with a pair of encores. The first encore featured post-Joshua Tree hits “Beautiful Day,” “Elevation,” “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” and “One.” For the second encore, Bono led his mates through “Miss Sarajevo” and “The Little Things That Give You Away” as well as the tour debut of “I Will Follow.”
