They've been mixing up the setlists for the better imo. Only 3-4 songs early on, JT, then starting the encore with Miss Sarajevo instead of having it towards the end. Works way better because they follow it up with Bad, Beautiful Day, Elevation, Ultra Violet, and One now. That's a way better ending run. If they want to throw in the new song Little Things at the end, fine. Also FUCK YES to Bad being in full rotation now. Unfortch, A Sort of Homecomign seems to be dropped which does blow.
I am definitely looking forward to the U2 show twenty minutes from my home. I got screwed out of McCartney so this is the next best thing IMO. I've followed U2 for years and they are legends and will never be Irrelevant. I will enjoy whatever they play. I'm just trying to decide how close I need to be to get the best sound. Posted up in front of sound island for Pearl Jam last year and after the first few songs I had to move cause my hearing was toast.
Damn. I was hoping to wake up to some updates on this one!
Same here. I like U2, but I don't love them. I really couldn't tell you much of anything they have released after Pop. They were the first concert I ever saw while on that tour though, and it is still one of the best shows I have ever seen. I am very interested to see how it was received on the farm. I can't imagine they put on anything but a great show, but where the hell are our updates people??/ Its 100 degrees in your tent right now you should be helping us out lol
Well, i guess its because Bono told all of us to go to bed after an encore of 3-4 songs.....The show lasted till at least another 15 minutes more than the hour and a half.
Sound: I think everybody in Ireland could hear the show. It was loud....bass was awesome.
Songs: Joshua Tree Album + some political comments + some songs dedicated to some very special people out there.
Vibez: Excellent, i think security did there job this year or maybe God was watching too. Everybody was friendly and there was nothing out of the ordinary.
I watched the encore (something, Beautiful Day and Elevation) on FaceTime. It sounded and looked great, though the stage limitations made it look to me like it was about half the width of the stadium shows. I could be wrong. It was from the back which wasn't super crowded at that point. Beachbob said some people left at some point during a political discussion, but rednecks dont need them some humanitarian causes or world peace when a large arsenal of guns will do. Of course President Bush 41 once complimented Bono on his serious grasp and understanding of world issues. Nevertheless, it looked to me like it will easily go down as the best show of the weekend. Maybe Borgore or Charlie Daniels fans would disagree.
It was absolutely epic. I always somewhat liked I2 but never really cared if I saw them or not. After that show I may buy tickets to see them again next weekend.

Great show. My worry going in was the set losing steam after Bullet but Running and Red Hill were beautiful. God's country, trip were strong and 1 tree brought the sing along back. ANd Exit was superb (best song of the set). The span of pride, streets, ISHFWILF, With/Without, Bullet might have been the best string of songs I've seen on the Farm.
The visuals were on point. Bono sounded great, the band is always top notch.

Checking in to confirm that was a great set. Production top notch, everyone sounded great. I've hear mixed things about the crowd but from where I was everyone was super into it. Also ran into an older guy from Ohio that graduated from my high school in Houston because of my Fuckin U2 TShirt, pretty amazing moment.

Yessss thank you all for indulging! I posted earlier in this thread - they are my all-time favorite and this is the first Roo in 7 years I'm not on The Farm for because I couldn't bear to leave my 9 month old overnight yet. I knew it would be a set for the books and I'd feel beyond bad missing it, but I'm glad for everyone there. I am excited to see them in Cleveland in a few weeks with my parents. Thanks Jesioneka for taking one for the team and watching the Bambina.

Great show! I posted up all the way in the back against the VIP wall. Could hear and see with no issues. Or maybe that's b/c The crowd was small? Compared to RHCP anyway. Liked when Bono thanked bonnaroo for naming the festival after him.

Beck was just announced for that leg of the tour so I assume he'll be opening. I had a comment here about my personal opinions of U2 but I edited it out because #RadiatePositivity. My profile pic is actually from Beck at MM last year.
Got right in front of the stage in the pit so I was happy. I thought the set was great. A bit unfortunate that the three biggest hits and singalongs kick off JT but the album was still beautifully rendered.
I always stress about crowd singalongs with headliners because of the mixed crowds of fans, the casually interested and the too out of it to know where they are but it sounded good from where I was. Bono seemed to be legitimately digging the show, too. (The others never seem to show a lot!)

Some of the guys in my group were hippy-types who seemed to carry a disdain for U2 into the fest. During and after the show, they no longer had that disdain. I thought it was a heck of a show, from start to finish. So much passion. This might be my last 'roo after 11 straight, and I'm so glad I got to see U2 in that field. It meant a heck of a lot to me.
Fave show of the weekend for me but we def had a bunch of casual people around us. Like they were almost embarrassed to sing a long with I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. Like gtfo here, u know the words, everyone is singing it, stop acting too cool. Y even be there? That's not U2's fault at all though.
This show made me a fan, whereas before i was just a casual listener that liked a few songs. I'll for sure see them when they come back down to Texas for the next tour for the new album.

Should be a verified fan presale soon and I'm signed up for that but don't know if texting app will be compatible with their messaging system. It's probably a link not a password but if anyone has shareable access please sent me a pm. Thanks!
