Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Even with a lineup this electronic heavy, it still could've been decent. Even if just a few of the shit acts were replaced with decent electronic acts, it'd look a hell of a lot better.
- Marshmello -> Pretty Lights - Yellow Claw -> Bonobo - Boregore -> Nicolas Jaar - Getter -> Kaytranada - Snails -> the Avalanches - Ookay -> Rüfüs du Sol
Want to hear some stats that are explicitly about my personal tastes, and don't necessarily pertain to anyone else, but maybe they do?
Great!
Bonnaroo:
Artists I would be remotely interested in seeing/being dragged to - 25 Of those artists, the amount that I would be EAGER to see - 14 Of the 25 artists, the amount that I would be seeing for the FIRST time - 15
Coachella:
Artists I would be remotely interested in seeing/being dragged to - 57 Of those artists, the amount that I would be EAGER to see - 34 Of the 57 artists, the amount that I would be seeing for the FIRST time - 40 1/2 (never seen Jaar solo, but have seen Darkside)
what are people thinking the SuperJam will be? Them literally screwing over any type of major psychedelic act makes really wish for the psychedelic SuperJam but once again the Roo gods don't love us enough for that to happen
If they don't have another show, I'd expect Flea to pop up.
Copying tackitt, this is after a little bit of listening to artists I didn't know on Roo, none for Coach, and taking into consideration other fests I'll likely go to

Coachella:
Artists I would be remotely interested in seeing/being dragged to - 59 Of those artists, the amount that I would be EAGER to see - 34 Of the 59 artists, the amount that I would be seeing for the FIRST time - 30
The next day and I feel the same. If I had another major festival closer, I'd go to that, but with U2 and enough on the under card to get my money's worth, I'll still probably be there. Fully expect this to sell very well though would be happy with the farm at half capacity again after how great it was last year.
If the farm is at half capacity this year, Bonnaroo will not be a thing anymore. There's a reason LiveNation used its muscle to get U2 there, Bonnaroo needs this.
This is going to sell the same amount so good riddance.
Honestly, if the drummer stopped wearing his fancy basketball jersey I'm not sure anyone would care about them. They were fun enough, but I completely forgot they existed after seeing them at gov ball and roo the last time

They blew me away at Bunbury so much that I saw them in Atlanta the next week.

Definitely lacking some "holy shit, I can't believe they booked them" and "legacy/legend" acts for sure. Unless some of the EDM artists are big gets....I don't know them.

I don't dislike them... But I never did get around to buying that album. They are one of the bands on the lineup that was a "would see" for me though
U2 and RHCP, that made my whole ticket worth going. Im serious. I wanted U2 at Roo back when they had the big stage but that did not happen. Everybody should be pumped about U2. It's going to be another special Bonnaroo folks. And if it does not sell well....its not Bonnaroo's fault. Its the music fans fault. This is a good lineup especially with acts I have not heard of before.

Okay, so it "might" have some bearing on Bonnaroo.
But no, if I had to pay money to see U2 and RHCP, with good seats.......It'd be over $300 total.
Or am I delusional? I thought these 2 bands alone are star worthy and bring commanding pricing to its music fans wallet.
U2 maybe, but RHCP is a lazy pic by a festival scraping at relevancy. Look how safe they played it. Radio rock? Mainstream hip-hop? Zero metal, Americana, funk, punk? Where's the legacy acts? Why so much generic EDM? Not even that it's mainstream or "bad", it's just straight up generic, every other festival has had these acts on the bill in the last year or two. The headliners are awesome, and if you want to see them badly then it toally validates the ticket price. Everything else? Not so much.
If anyone is still weighing a Coachella vs Bonnaroo decision, please don't forget that lots of people take selfies and look for celebrities at Coachella.
