Like when Halsey came out with the Chainsmokers to do Closer? What a moment in the annals of Roo history.
Did that happen? I think Tame Impala was at the same time.
I walked to the bathroom behind where they were playing from Tame and Halsey was on stage with them singing something. It was before that song had come out so I hadn't ever heard it before, but I am 95% sure they were doing that song.
Not really a redeeming quality but maybe Tove Lo comes out for Flume to do Say It. That would be kind of cool.

As much as I hate that song and the Chainsmokers, Roo is totally gonna milk the fact that they hosted the world premiere of what's turned into a massive hit. Especially a few years down the road when Roo is literally just cheese.

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
All the acts you want to see are conflicting. There's a huge gap on Which stage for a few hours every day and late nights end at 1:00 a.m. (except for Kalliope stage which will play in the campgrounds until 9 a.m.).

if artificially engineered rain clouds appear everyone has to go to their tents.
I'm at the point where I'm SO tempted to sell my presale ticket, but I'd feel like an idiot selling my opportunity to see U2 when otherwise I'll probably never see them at all. Say what you will, but seeing the Joshua Tree in its entirety live would be incredible. There's also plenty that I want to see throughout the lineup, but as has been said repeatedly, its nothing special. An Avalanches addition along with something else interesting might make me feel as though its more worth it.

for shits and giggles i looked up how much a u2 show costs
$35+fees for the nosebleed seats. They're hitting a bunch of major cities, and will probably tour through next year
After mulling it over, it's a decline in quality for me. First three Roo's (12,13,14) all had great lineups top to bottom. I didn't like every artist on the lineup, but they were full of quality.
2015 had meh headliners. Billy Joel was disappointing. Not really interested in hip-hop/edm so Kendrick and Deadmau5 were easy passes. Mumford and Sons are just alright. That year had a great undercard though: My Morning Jacket, Ben Harper, Earth Wind and Fire, War on Drugs, STS9, Robert Plant, etc.
2016 took a blow to the undercard (though it still had some great stuff). Pearl Jam, Dead & Company, and LCD Soundsystem was the best top three Bonnaroo has ever had for me in the years I've attended. LCD Soundsystem and Pearl Jam put on phenomenal shows. Seeing Dead & Company in the pit with my cousin during that 3+ hour show is one of the top musical experiences of my life.
2017 sees a blow to both the headliners and the undercard. I like RHCP. U2 has a few songs I like, but they aren't a massive draw for me. Maybe I'd be more hyped if I was more familiar with them. Not interested in The Weeknd/Chance. There's some good stuff in the undercard like Greensky Bluegrass/Umphrey's McGee/Preservation Hall/Portugal. The Man/Twiddle. There just isn't anything that really wows me.
I'm still going, and I'm sure I'll have a great time. I'll find some new acts researching the lineup, I'm listening to BadBadNotGood right now and digging it. I feel like the lineup would be kicked up a few notches if some of the rumored acts had actually appeared on it like Trey Anastasio Band, Jim James, Warpaint, The Avalanches, etc. It would have made it a lot more exciting for me.

As far as headliners go The Weeknd is playing in Cincinnati on Friday night and U2 is in Miami on Sunday so perhaps U2/Weeknd/Red Hot Chili Peppers for Fri/Sat/Sun?
I love Bonnaroo and all but I just can't justify spending $400+ for this lineup. Since everyone I like, (not and edm or rap fan) I've seen before. And the headliners, I've never liked U2 but 2 songs, RHCP have been washed up for years, though I've always liked them. Just not someone I would want to see live anymore. The weekend isn't worth even mentioning so I'll leave it at that.
