In the context of what else is out there, I give it a 6/10. That's 60%, which is a solid D - Not Good. Take U2 off and it drops to 4 which I view as worse than an F, it is more like a "did not complete".

I'm curious how long he's be going that he's so invested in this festival. After 7 years of roo being my favorite thing, yeah I'm disappointed, but he's straight overboard. Can't imagine how someone that's been going since the mid 2000 feels
I love discovering new music and have always found something I like at Roo. This year will be no different in that regard, but I also like seeing classic artists on the smaller stages. Loretta Lynn and Alice Cooper, for example, put on excellent shows for their respective genres and were amazing to see live at the farm. Nothing on there fits the bill this year. Very disappointing that they couldn't or wouldn't find a few classic acts to plug into the lineup for the smaller stages. Can only muster a 3

When I first got on Inforoo I never thought I would get all jaded like you guys on here but boy did this lineup do it to me big time, wooooooooohooooo who cant wait for some Marshmello and Major Lazer
I give it high 6 low 7. Reasoning as followed: U2 will be there. There's still quite a few acts I want to see, however I could see them elsewhere. That gives the lineup C-. Which I think is totally fair. For my tastes I give Coachella an A, Panorama an A, Gov Ball a B+, I feel like I should honestly give this fest a little more credit than a C- but I think it's because I was there 2010-2015. That and they had plenty of solid acts that they missed out on. That being said I am still considering the fest.

I gave it a 5. U2 is probably tied with Beyonce for the biggest festival "get" of 2017 this far. A full run of Joshua Tree will be great. That puts me around a 3.
Lorde is someone I would probably never see alone but have heard enough good about to be curious for at Roo. Same for The Weeknd. Not my thing on tape, but people I trust says he brings it live, so those two are another 1.
The final 1 is for the BGS tent. Less "name" bookings this year, but Margo Price is a breakout artist and everyone else in that tent has enough collaborative chops to make for a fun superjam Sunday.
So, right in the middle for me. One strong legacy or metal act would add another point, as would a strong Superjam theme. But considering how they buried Superjam on the poster, I'm not holding my breath. At this point my best case scenario is they let Umphrey's curate a Zonkey set with some guest vocalists. I have no idea who else could host and make it work.
I haven't made up my mind yet, but I'm definitely disappointed with it. Where are the great legacy style acts, or punk, or metal bands? 2015 looks to have been the last great year.
I gave it a 6 after listening to some of the stuff I hadn't heard before. Been every year since 2003 and this is definitely in the bottom 2 with last year being the worst lineup of them all, but there is still enough there that I'm certain I'll have a good time. It's not a lineup that I used to expect out of Bonnaroo but after last year my expectations were so low that I guess just not being as bad as that shitshow kept me from being that disappointed.

I'm holding off on voting right now, but I'm thinking somewhere in between 6-7, and the score will be influenced by the fest getting U2, which is an enormous booking. Plus, acts like Chance, PtM, The XX and even Lorde are high on my personal preference list. That said/written, I wholely understand people who are disappointed. Where you used to be able to count on some interesting, singular bookings, 'roo seems to have abandoned that strategy the last two years in favor of adding more EDM - and not necessarily innovative EDM - and pop'ish acts. Maybe it's the competition from other fests. Maybe it's LN's influence. Whatever the case, it is a drastic change.
Going through this, it looks like these would be on my "will see" list: U2 RHCP Major Lazer Cage the Elephant Marshmello Big Gigantic Portugal the Man Tegan and Sara Umphrey's McGee Cold War Kids Kaleo Royal Blood Car Seat Headrest Snails Margo Price Preservation Hall Jazz Band Bluegrass Situation w/Ed Helms Dear Valley Orwells White Reaper
And this on "maybe" list Chance Future Islands Milkey Chance Strumbellas Michael Kiwanuka Nghtmre Getter Joseph Jane Vincent Hippo Campus The XX Stick Figure Nightly Jane Vincent Marrow Klangstof Flatbush Zombies
So, with U2 playing all of Joshua Tree, there is plenty here for me to come back to the farm after a 5 year absence. It doesn't have an overabundance of "high impact" bands on the lineup, one's that seeing them on the lineup makes you lose your shit from excitement, but very solid. Giving it a 6 or 7.

Eh if I was walking down the street and someone punched me in the face today, I'd be pretty damn pissed
I'd rate getting punched in the face worse than this lineup, and I gave the lineup a two. Getting punched in the face is legit upsetting, a bad lineup drop like this is more of a 'eh not going this year then'
Anyways yeah I think this one's a 3 on paper, a 2 in practice. Don't know if they can afford a toot like this one after selling just 45k tickets last year. U2's a nice get though.

Voted 4, mainly because of U2.
I just read the interviews on Consequence of Sound and Billboard, and the organizers are talking out of their ass. No curation whatsoever, clearly dictated by streaming counts. Are people there even going to care about RHCP and U2? Why see U2 there when you can see them in stadiums across the country, which will undoubtedly have better crowds?
If you have access to Sirius XM radio, you would know this lineup was very much curated. Check out Alt Nation, Sirius XMU, and BPM. Edit: Also, I gave it a 5.

I don't have satellite radio anymore. Are those all alt-rock and dance stations? If so, how come they picked fairly safe and accessible names in these genres?
Fuck, even the dreaded Made in America Fest does a better job curating.
