What ever happened to that show GnR was supposed to do on the Farm this month that was rumored back around Christmas? Was that just a typo or mistake in those contest rules?
Any other options who are old and not Fleetwood Mac/Waters? The Eagles, Tom Petty, Guns N' Roses, Queen?
Pretty much all of those seem more likely than Fleetwood Mac to me.
My lady has been clamoring for 'Queen w/ Adam Lambert' for years... I've told her I didn't ever think Bonnaroo would pay up for Queen without the original front-man. Granted - they did a similar equivalent w/ the Dead in 2016.
What's the take on here about that? For the record, I'd fucking love to be wrong.

I think they make a lot of sense for the current Roo demo. Queen fills the classic "everyone knows their name" headliner but Adam Lambert has some American Idol appeal to the millennials. I will never pay full ticket price for a Freddie-less Queen, so I wouldn't mind this booking if there's even a moderately decent undercard since it would let me see Brian May without ponying up $75 to see just Brian May.
In the dino headliner pool, we should probably throw in a couple more repeats in Metallica and Stevie Wonder. Both are touring (I think. Stevie's always touring it seems).
Man, I liked a couple of their albums, but The Killers might be the most boring pick of the new era. With alt-acts like Foo Fighters active it just feels even more like phoning it in.
Unless Bonnaroo just totally slams #1 and #2 out of the park (Ex: Fleetwood/Waters & JayZ/Drake), I don't see how they'd be able to put up The Killers at #3 and draw big numbers in the current market.
I love'em, but nobody drives 8 hours to see The Killers at Bonnaroo. You can see them at a dozen other festivals/venues closer to home.
Now if you could get The Killers at #4, that is a homerun... but as has been discussed on here, that seems highly unlikely.

While I agree Killers at #4 seems unlikely, if they're #3 but an act like NIN or Gorillaz are #4 I'm all about that. If Chance is a #4 I don't see any reason NIN/Gorillaz/Killers couldn't be.
Can't watch the vid because I'm at work, I'm assuming it's terrible, but rest assured Guns N' Roses is incredible live. Axl sounds great, everybody sounds great. They play some of the greatest songs of all time. It's a big show with big screens and big pyro. You get to see "Estranged", "November Rain", and "Don't Cry" all played on the same night. I mean, whats not to love? It's Guns and fuckin' Roses man.

I should probably watch their Coachella 2016 performance before judging them further but personally I kind of dislike GnR. There are lots of much better classic acts for Roo to get.

This is exactly how I feel.
I don't really want them at Roo... but if they were announced, I'd buy in and enjoy the show.

Are there really though? The reunited GnR has been the biggest live act in the world for going on two years now. When Eminem pushed Bonnaroo to a sell out in 2011, he pulled in (anecdotally) a ton of locals who had never been to Roo before and were there only to see him, and I think GnR would appeal to a similar type.
If Bonnaroo can book a stadium act, they shouldn't even hesitate. That goes for U2 (who I don't really care about) just as much as GnR (who are rad).

You are correct, for me personally GnR and U2 are both pretty much garbage but would move tickets for Roo. Both have a much bigger appeal than Radiohead or even Elton John.

GnR >>>>>>> Eminem live
doesn't matter how big a fan you are of either. Eminem at ACL was probably the worst headlining show I've ever seen.
GnR would be my second choice for #1. I mean how many top of the bill headliners are left that haven't played Roo, and that are touring next year. They could definitely do worse than them
Isn't it a little soon to have Jack White back? It would also be disappointing to see him limited to two hours or less this time around.
I agree. Plus I'd rather just have the White Stripes headline. Even though jack whites set was amazing in 2014
Well yeah, so would just about everyone other than the people Jack would hire for his band... but a White Stripes reunion will most likely never happen
Next year is probably their last shot for Fleetwood Mac so I'd like to see them pull it off. Waters would be incredible too but I doubt it happens. GnR would do nothing to get me there
