Festive Owl says multiple festivals will have the exact same top line this cycle. That’s gotta be bullshit right? Which fests would even be possibilities for all three of these
I doubt it. Who is even left? Lolla and ACL both had Killers last year. I know its not the same at Firefly.. Muse could come back to Lolla and finish their set I guess.
Grand Ole Opry, Nice! No Ed Helms was bumming me out
Ok I'm a little confused. What exactly does Grand Ole Opry equate to in a festival setting? Lol
Honestly it seems like the Bluegrass Superjam, just modernized. The crowds are usually smallish but it is something I looked forward too every year. For me, I'm glad they have it in some form at least, and I'm excited to see how it all works out.

Music Midtown.
They just had the Killers in 2016 and Muse is too good to be booked at Music Midtown.

Do people generally not know what the Grand Ole Opry is? I am kinda mind blown right now.
I just don't get what it is in a Roo setting.
I would assume it's the same variety show as the Opry, with the few roots acts on the lineup and whoever they can poach over from CMA to play a song or two. Basically the BG Superjam without the Sitch's curation.

My immediate assumption is exactly like the bluegrass superjam just without Ed Helms.
That is very much not the case. Its a country radio show that is more or less a live performance show, with a bunch of names playing 20 or 30 minutes each show. Its been running since 1925

Dave was there at the Opry's inception. I think he knows.
I mean, they've got an entire EDM stage. What did you expect?
They had an entire EDM stage last year, and I feel like there are way more EDM acts in 2018. It's also a little surprising because it seems like the bigger fests have dialed back on bad EDM this year, at least so far.
I met a ton of people last year that only did the EDM. I’m thinking Roo is almost seeing it as to festivals in one setting based on the divide I’ve seen.
