Would they do the Grand Ole Opry as some sort of weird late night performance?
They could definitely do that. It'll be interesting to see how much time they allot and who they're able to get on stage. I'm getting more excited about this by the minute!

Remember when we used to debate whether Bonnaroo was the best festival in America not whether it got beat out by a genre-specific non-camping festival in Atlanta that only booked one act you can reasonably argue is a headliner?
My immediate assumption is exactly like the bluegrass superjam just without Ed Helms.
That is very much not the case. Its a country radio show that is more or less a live performance show, with a bunch of names playing 20 or 30 minutes each show. Its been running since 1925
View it as one of their special events. Four or five acts play their individual sets then the cast comes together to perform songs. It's really not that much of a leap.

This direct quote is the reason Bonnaroo can keep feeding jerkoffs awful lineups with such ease. They open their mouths and say plz Bonnaroo insert your feces right here I love you so much.

I think everyone's lowered expectations are really distorting the opinions on this. This is not good.
The lack of depth might be the worst part of this lineup. Thursday will likely again be a wasteland, and despite some of the nice gems in the undercard they're going to be spread thin over 4 days.
Combine that with the blandest trio of unopposed headliners I could imagine, and this falls incredibly short of the ticket price.
Yeah, but the Killers are going to bring it, surely they will understand how important headlining Bonnaroo is and not just bring their canned show / setlist / banter.
And obviously Eminem is going to bring out a half dozen guests for the set, including Ed Sheeran.
Coachella wins this battle for me. But that’s probably because I don’t care for bon iver. Virtual self, broken social scene and Anderson park are great gets. But overall Coachella is the queen in this castle
