Swap Gorillaz with The Killers and I think you may be onto something. It does seem a tad early to bring Jack White back, though.
Fleetwood Mac // Jay Z // Jack White // The Killers Martin Garrix // My Morning Jacket // Solange // Odesza // Tyler the Creator // Alt - J // Run the Jewels // Foster the People Kaskade // Mac Demarco // Grouplove // Bonobo
Not thrilled with some of that but this would get me there easily.

I think some of these are a little high (Garrix was much lower on the leaked poster this year, Solange, Mac, Grouplove) but I don't hate it.
Edit: Maybe Garrix canceled because of his low poster placement, though? Who knows.

I don't think your midcard is unreasonable, but you gotta cut somebody from that top 3. The Killers aren't a #4.
Those were the days. That billing was right for the time. Jay and Stevie was kinda confusing though. Mumford was mostly an unknown, mid-day tent act.
Even at the time, people were scratching their heads over the billing. Jay-Z had just released The Blueprint 3 and was riding a career high. Maybe he'd be second, but fourth? No doubt some weird contractual thing about billing versus an objective ranking. DMB is a Bonnaroo legacy act so they probably got a bit of a bump for that, too.
DMB's manager also financed a lot of Bonnaroo from the beginning.
Isn't it fake news every year except those rare occasions when it isn't? The spectacle on reddit is always better than reality, plus they have TIFUs. We need a TIFU thread.

Too much discussion regarding Fleetwood - Jay Z - Jack White, not enough discussion regarding Fleetwood - The Killers - Future - 21 Pilots - The Chainsmokers

I love your pessimism but Future isn't a headliner. Mask Off was huge but I don't think he'll ever get there.
And I believe Bonnaroo will book at least two pretty good headliners next year.
Too much discussion regarding Fleetwood - Jay Z - Jack White, not enough discussion regarding Fleetwood - The Killers - Future - 21 Pilots - The Chainsmokers
Bonnaroo will have good headliners so FM - Jay Z - Jack White is perfectly realistic. It's the undercard and subs we have to worry about.

This is exactly right.
There is literally no rational case to be made arguing that Bonnaroo will have a less than top-tier headlining trio. The subs/undercard is where they have shown an ability to fall behind the other big boys.
They also have to keep the VIP-Tailgate-for-headliner crowd happy... The Killers & Future don't cut it.

Re: discussion about Bonnaroo having full Thursdays, IIRC Lolla started doing that for their 20th anniversary, so maybe Roo will do the same when the time comes. Although last year being the 15th year could have been a good time to do it as well, but it seemed like they were focusing on structural improvements instead.
I don't know if I would put too much faith in the twitter user but his prediction is pretty realistic guess at worst. I've seen lots of people on Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter saying Fleetwood Mac alone would get them to Roo so it would be a smart booking.
Fleetwood Mac - Jay-Z - Jack White - Lana Del Rey DJ Snake - ODESZA - A$AP Rocky - The National Martin Garrix - Run The Jewels - Foster The People The Flaming Lips - Nick Murphy - Primus - Vance Joy 21 Savage - Mac Demarco - Grouplove - Little Dragon

There are only 4 artists here I would travel more than 10 miles to see, let alone hundreds of miles. This is incredibly realistic, but a piece of garbage.

I don't like a lot of the artists listed there either haha, I based it off what was presented in the 2017 top 20, then edited it to reflect upcoming releases and other LN fests.

Would see the bolded. Feels realistic. That's such a nice top 3 that I'd def consider it though.

That's a pretty good set right there, and seems realistic, but throw in some unique gets and some classic rock/old timers, and baby you got a stew goin'.

At least for the foreseeable future, I can't see Bonnaroo going full Thursdays... Unlike Lolla, who knows that they'll sell every ticket, I think Bonnaroo would have a very hard time increasing the ticket price much more than it already is or convincing another ~20,000 people to come to Bonnaroo because of an upgrade to the Thursday lineup.
To use this year's Lolla Thursday as an example:
Does adding Muse / Blink 182 / Spoon / Porter Robinson / Wiz Khalifa / Run the Jewels / Atlas Genius / Kaytranada / Liam Gallagher / Capital Cities / Phantogram to this year's Bonnaroo attract another ~20,000 attendees?
I'd personally love to pay for the upgrade.... but I have a hard time believing the average college kid is willing to pay for the hike.

Honestly it's possible it could. If I was on the fence, Muse, Spoon, Porter, RTJ, Atlas Genius, Kaytranada, Liam and Phantogram would make it a no brainer for me.
Edit: But at the end of the day you're right with this being way diff from Lolla since they have the blind sell out every year.

I'm bad with coming up with classic rock that isn't top line haha, there's a lot of artists I'm hoping make it onto the Roo lineup but I don't wanna get my hopes up too high like I did last year. Be really cool to see Jim James if he's still touring, also would love to see some more ladies at Roo- St. Vincent's got her new album coming, Grimes or FKA Twigs if they are doing stuff next year would be dope, SZA's new album is great and would be cool to bring her back too.
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

But Bonnaroo doesn't book unique gets or classic rock/old timers anymore.
