I kinda liken the wait for Artist Additions to being a Bills fan watching the Week Fourteen NFL Playoff graphic: yeah, they're still mathematically "In The Hunt" but get real. There is no miracle happening.
The number of significant artist additions have been negligible, especially in recent years. I wouldn't hold out hope for anything that will really move the needle at all.

The only hope that I am holding on to is due to the Martin Garrix omission from the lineup when he was on the leak. Gotta grasp at whatever thread you can.
I'm a pseudo hippie. My top three favorite bands of all time are 1. Pavement 2. Radiohead 3. Phish And groups like The Smiths, The Cure, The Stone Roses, LCD Soundsystem and, yes, The Grateful Dead, likely would appear in my top 10. Needless to say, I have really eclectic musical tastes.

i was thinking the same thing about the martin garrix situation. there is a little money on the table. but they will totally blow it guaranteed. they will book some garbage. no brainer

That's cool. Other than The Dead headlining last year (I imagine just because they couldn't the year before?) jam is dead at this fest. Just seems silly to be asking for it.

They're still making a token attempt by booking acts like Umphrey's, Greensky Bluegrass, Twiddle and possibly Turkuaz, who appear on some jam-friendly lineups. But yeah, those days are definitely dead for the most part. And this is probably it for me after 11 straight. My wife wants to go to Primavera Sound and she isn't going to need to twist my arm. At this point, I'm 100 percent committed to dropping Bonnaroo for good after this year and picking up Primavera and some other far-flung fests.

Well that's probably the best description of hopelessness I've seen in a while...
Will there even be additions this year? I have a feeling there won't...
We're shy 30-50 acts including comedy and small stage stuff and 1-2 DJs with Flora, Fauna, or Foodstuffs on their head.
yeah but this is the first time they have released the lineup without the " and many more to be announced!" portion at the bottom of it. With it being the first year LN is really in control I wouldn't bet on additions being a slam dunk this time around.
The big question: Did they do away with Kalliope and move EDM to a tent?
Capps said no major changes in that ConSo interview, but that could be directed solely towards infrastructure. It would be interesting to see a move towards an EDM tent. I feel like there's some room to rearrange things towards the comedy tent and this tent. Not sure if that'd help with sound bleed.
