I don't want to be a downer but I'm working on a mock schedule right now, and I used a scheduling format similar with last years...there's actually more acts on the lineup than performance spots, by 2 slots.
So unless they plan on adding additional late night sets on Which/What, opening Which Thursday, or possibly some of these are club acts...of none of those end up happening, I think we have the full lineup minus comedy.

That sucks. I never went to a com3dy show at Bonnaroo, but appreciated the fact that it was there as an option. It's another disappearance of an attraction that made Roo unique. Sounds like sets are going to be even shorter too.

Comedy is happening, it's on the poster. They'll probably announce in a month or so.

If they have djs playing back to back they can cut down on the space in between them. It'd be ridiculous to have a 45 minute gap in between two djs if all they need to do is set up a new laptop.
As far as an "edm stage" goes I highly doubt they're going to make one stage strictly for edm. Ashley Capps said in the COS interview that they aren't going to be making any major upgrades at Bonnaroo this year. I'm sure there will be times when it's almost all edm in certain tents, but I don't think they'll end up modifying one of the tents to be strictly for edm artists.

I don't think they modify any stage for it, but I think they maybe dedicate one of the tents to EDM with the amount of it on there. Wouldn't have to make any upgrades or modifications, just as far as scheduling goes i.e. when they used to do a dedicated world music tent or the Bluegrass Situation tent. At least that's my hope so that there aren't times where all the tents are simultaneously filled by shitty EDM with nothing worth seeing happening.

Shorter sets based on the fact most artists have less albums released than past Roo's? or just a guess based on Roo going downhill?

Is that accurate? I counted 103 I believe. I thought we were usually closer to 110 spots on the main stages/tents.

I don't understand what everyone is freaking out about. If they just add A Tribe Called Quest, Frank Ocean, Sigur Ros, Air and The Avalanches we'll be fine.

When you think about it this way, the lineup doesn't seem so bad!

Panorama paid $850,000 for Tribe this year. If they didn't get part of Roo's original line up then they won't be there. I also know how much U2 is getting from Roo but given how sensitive that subject is right now I won't go down that path. Hint: it's a fucking ton

More than $5 mill?
A little more then 5 but not much. $5.5 mil I heard from a pretty good source.
I meant sensitive in the sense it's a touchy subject since people are pretty bitter over U2 and this years line up as a whole.
I don't think most of us are that bitter over U2. You can book an expensive headliner and still book a fairly high quality undercard. Bonnaroo just didn't do that.
So let's guess. How much did Beyoncé cost Coachella? More or less than 5.5?
I suspect less. I wouldn't be surprised if it's much less, TBH. Maybe $7.5M for both shows.
I suspect your wrong but I also think you're right. It may be somewhat cheaper to book the Coachella way meaning 2 weekends. I bet Beyoncé is the same if not more as U2 but like if you book 2 weekends they may be able to settle for less like a "bulk discount" kind of thing. So in theory i bet she's like $6 mil a show but if you book 2 shows with her it may be like $10 and you save $2 mil

And I say that because U2's stage show cost $1 million just to set up on their last tour (that big weird claw thing in the middle of a stadium) as roadies had to show up 2-3 days early to set it up. They toured with 2 of them so one stage can always be infront of the other. Hypothetically if it was set up for 2 days or relatively in place, you would save that million in production assembly.
