idk if they're 100% what stage, i'm pegging them both for which stage (maybe bonnaroo screwed another person with stage names)
I thought this said Which...I could see it being "what" though and that would throw a wrench into late night for sure.
I don't see them putting either of these on What, if only for the reason the headliners on What are all touring with large productions that probably need more than 90 mins for load out. Flume and ML will both be Which. The only reason Deadmau5 was late night on What after Kendrick was because he had a production that was too big for Which and Kendrick had zero production.

again it'll be which though right??? otherwise i'd have to imagine Roo pumping the shit out of them playing the mainstage like they did for Mau5 when he was an actual headliner
Here I come with unrealistic optimism, but it's worth the thought. Since this is down 2 acts from previous years for Friday and Saturday (and the lineup is down 2 acts from the cafe bumps), we may have 2 late night additions coming.
NO, I WILL NOT GIVE UP HOPE FOR THE AVALANCHES!!!!!!
Genuinely curious as to why anyone would assume they play the What when it's pretty clearly set up to have one act playing the Which, This, and That, and two acts playing the Other.

Maybe it's time to look into other fests, pal.
I'm attending two other festivals this year, but Bonnaroo is the only of (what I consider) the big 4 that I can attend. City festivals leave a lot to be desired, and anything out west is just not practical. I'm going to have a perfectly fine time, but this was a good year to win tickets.
Absolutely horrific. No Future Islands all but guarantees a Chance / FI conflict. The wahy things are going they will probably throw Michael K into that conflict as well.
This is my big fear as well. Chance v FI conflict would make me grumpy. If Kiwanuka was in that mix, I would kick punch positivity.
May Tycho May Phoenix June Rooo July MMJ and Margo Price August Queen with Adam Lambert August Roger Waters (Bucket list #1) August Spoon and Portugal the man Sept Depeche Mode Sept Pilgrimage Fest
You guys are crazy saying there's 100% chance Flume and Major Lazer play the What Stage. It's definitely possible, but I'd be willing to bet they don't. It's not like Bonnaroo will have a huge attendance to begin with.

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
I love the rationale that led them to create an entire stage devoted to electronic music and then schedule electronic music in nearly every other late night slot anyhow. Great use of resources there.
I'm also quite honestly not sure why they bothered to book U2 for this festival. For as much money as they spent to get that set they could have grabbed two more big name acts that appeal to this demographic if they're gonna go balls to the wall with it as they seem to be.

This is the part that truly confuses me. If you're going to shell out 3-4 million for U2, why in the world would you not book a few classic rockers to appeal to their fans? With that kind of money out there, it isn't as if a Brian Wilson, King Crimson, Cheap Trick, Hall & Oates, Duran Duran, or either of the two versions of Yes currently touring are prohibitively expensive. Maybe I'm wrong and either The XX or Tove Lo (who I assume are the Friday Pre-HL) will appeal to U2 fans, but to my thinking putting Brian Wilson in that slot makes a lot more sense for the demo.

Well when you have electronic music out the ass, there's only so many slots you can fill on one stage. It's pretty much just Perry's at Lolla. Load it up with as much electronic/a couple hip hop acts as you can, and then let the overflow of bigger EDM acts trickle onto the larger stages.

What kinda business model is spend all of the money on U2, mediocre EDM artist and their label mates aka 20 shitty DJs that they'll exile in a corner for the weekend?
so looks like not an actual set, here's what the website says :

LN is stupid weak this year, let alone the rest of the line-up. If it wasn't fer street team tickets (which I also believe will be phased out within the next year or two) we would not be goin'. Also some of my girlfriend's friends will likely be attendin', so I guess that's cool fer her. I'm not exactly a super-fan of one couple.

My question is this:How packed will Portugal. The Man be with that weak late night announcement?
How many people who like guitars do you think will be coming to Roo this year? I'm not expecting anything with guitars to be crowded, except headliners maybe. I'm expecting Okeechobee like crowds for rock acts.

I'd expect a full tent but nothing crazy. Major Lazer will probably pull 50-60% of the crowd.
