Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Bonnaroo has lost its unique charm. It now blends in with all the other festivals. Lineup is pretty poor this year. Outside of U2 and a handful of others, not that much going for it. And I'm a casual U2 fan at best.
If I were local and had a cheap ticket, I'd be there. But with travel, time off, and the high price point of the ticket, it just isn't worth it.
Yes. A group of 10 of my friends and I all bought presale tickets. They all buy into the radiate positivity crap we all say ironically here so they are all super excited. I'll still have fun obviously but I can already tell there's going to be hours were there is nothing I wanna do.
It's a giant bowl of Store Brand vanilla ice cream. The only things I am sad about missing are the spectacle I'm sure U2 will be and the Angelique Kidjo talking heads set. This would have been my 14th bonnaroo, and I have no FOMO.

I won tickets, so naturally I'll gladly go to Bonnaroo for free. I enjoy the festival grounds, and it's hard to beat late night. The lineup is just good enough to make me not sell my (again, free) tickets.
2016 and 2017 have been pretty hard hits for the festival. I think 2017 is an improvement over last year (thanks to the undercard), but I wouldn't call it an inspired lineup...and definitely not what I would expect for a pre-2016 Bonnaroo. They have substituted an eclectic mix of genres for lackluster EDM (that's who they chose for this move?!). That's sad to see.
Still, I want to see 18 of the top 35 acts and several more lower than that. It will be a great time, as always, but if they want to see me back after this, they need to do a lot better.
Yes because ive wanted to see u2 there since my first in 2005 and this will be #10 for me and i really like a lot of bands in the line up. Its gonna be a great time!
No, it was going to be a hard sell anyways with that lineup plus a couple usual accomplices moving across the country, but my family ended up planning a trip to France starting that weekend, so that helped me make a definitive call.

What's this about the Talking Heads??
Angelique Kidjo will be covering all of Remain In Light for her set. She's doing it at some other shows too, so I'm hoping to see it in NYC
Yes, I'll be volunteering pre-show and they're not making us submit a deposit this year. Sooooo free ticket! I already have all of my camping stuff and it's only a three hour drive. It's too convenient for me to pass up. But I have a feeling this will be my last year.
Yep I'll be there for my 10th this year. Jumped on presales and didnt fully hate the lineup like a lot of people did. This will likely be my last Roo anyway since I just got a new job so might as well go enjoy myself for a few days where I'v had some of my favorite memories.

No. Repeating what I've said in other threads, but I never expect Bonnaroo to be Coachella. Bonnaroo isn't cool or hip, nor has it ever really been so (and I'm not knocking Coachella at all, I've never been but it's clearly the best festival in the country, so please do not interpret "cool and hip" as a pejorative). What Bonnaroo should be is wacky and weird and wonderful, and 2017 is just bland.
I do "love roo", but the crappy lineup this year doesn't hurt my feelings or anything. In 2018 if they book some headliners I like and the undercard is OK (doesn't even have to be great) I could see myself going back. But if they stay on the current path that is OK too, I'm sure I can find something else to do with my time, like meditating, or eating pasta dishes with sausage in them.
The only set I feel FOMO about is Chance. That is going to be a ton of fun.
This thread is a depressing but vital read. When the post-mortem of Bonnaroo is written by future cultural anthropologists, there has to be a chapter dedicated to the thought process on one final hail mary attempt to salvage the fest by throwing money at U2 and Tumblr-approved EDM to see what happens.
I initially went to Bonnaroo for it's quality. The same goes for Coachella. Not for any rumored goofyness or vibez. It was a good deal. Unfortunately one sold it's soul and identity.

50 miles to see U2, the xx, Flume, Big G, the Weeknd, Chance, Lorde, Future Islands, Michael K, Francis and the Lights plus others that I still need to discover.
This is the only festival that I can get to this year. I wouldn't go if I had to get on a plane or had to try at all.

And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

Oh, you're not going either? That's sad. I had a blast with you and your friends last year. Say "hi" to the rest your group.

Leaning no. The lineup doesn't do much for me, but my cost to go is pretty low. Might try a new festival or a non-festival vacation (gasp) if Bonnaroo doesn't happen.

What's a non-festival vacation? I'll have to look into that.

I hear there will be Darkside played at a lunar eclipse. It has potential.

I have done a few of these non-festival vacations. They are good. Some are even fun. Just gotta find the right one for you.
