I've only watched parts of Penn State games this year, and caught some Barkley highlights. But Bryce love looks amazing. He can do smash mouth power running or agile outside speed sweeps.
Plus he already has 1000+ yards on the season with fewer touches than Barkley. Stanford is just sorta meh this year though.
Barkley is heavily involved in our passing game as well, he has 27 catches for 386/2. He also has kickoff return TD and a passing TD. He's had a couple "Heisman Moments" with the hurdle against Iowa and the KR TD against Indiana, but you don't win the Heisman in September. He's gotta show up big against OSU and Mich.
Fake news. Jackson definitely won it in Sep. last year.
The only thing a sizable contingent of people in Knoxville have for Bob Shoop right now is a baseball bat to put upside his head.
He had our D ballin out early against UGA. Hard to keep up the intensity when the offense keeps going 3-out or turning it over.
I have tried to explain this, but some people refuse to listen. It's hard to compete with a team that beat you by ten minutes in time of possession and can rotate several backs in without a big drop in talent.

I just looked up some stats on Bryce Love, he is not involved in the passing game at all. Like 2 catches all year for 5 yards. He is averaging 11.1YPC (with games against USC and UCLA). I was watching the Stanford/ASU game and ASU would line up their D knowing he would get the ball and it didn't matter. Dude is a beast. I'll be interested to see what he can do against the UW defense. And Notre Dame did all right containing UGA's table of backs as well. Unforunately Stanford doesn't have the talent elsewhere to make it into the national conversation, so I think he will still be a dark horse for a Heisman.
Bud is vastly overrated by Virginia Tech fans. He's a good defensive coordinator, but not top 5 in college football. Last three years VT defense has been 8th/11th/7th in rushing defense in the ACC and 4th/9th/5th in total defense in the ACC. He never seems to have a solid gameplan for scrambling QBs .
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he stayed when Beamer left and think he's a good defensive guy - but there is a reason why he has never been a head coach.
If Dabo was like 2-3 years from retiring or leaving for somewhere else, I could see Venables riding it out and waiting to be the Clemson HC. (Similar to what I see Josh McDaniel or Matt Patricia doing with the Pats.) However, I don't think Dabo is that old and what program could possibly be big enough for him to make a jump?

He's well respected by everyone I've ever heard talk about him. Actually I think Dabo interviewed him before hiring Venables.

Bama. That's the end of the list.
Yep. Alabama would be the only school I can see making Dabo think about leaving, and even then, I think Alabama would be tough to pull him away from a good situation he’s got himself in right now. Alabama’s expectations are higher than Clemson’s, which I think would be the only thing that would possibly make him stay away from a move once Saban leaves.

You don't know much about Clemson. Our expectations were to win long before we were really good enough to win. Since we won one in 81 all anyone ever talked about was getting back. Now we expect to be there all of the time. But yea, my view on why he may not leave is he's building his own Bama here. I still think that pull of going back home may be too much though.
I don't get it. I don't quacking get it. Every SEC school should be clamoring to get a guy who has no interest in coaching, who hasn't coached in like, what, 7 years? And who has never been at the college level, because Gruden seems like a guy who would love shoving his nose up the ass of 17 year olds.
These sources have to be just trying to make the Vols look bad. They can't be this stupid...

Dude. Gruden is some kind of obsession in this town. He says nice things about us on tv, and he was the first name brought up after Dooley got fired. It's insane. If you want more evidence, he'd almost certainly have to take a pay cut to be a coach again. Some people totally think it's happening and anyone else is a failure in the coaching search.
Justin Fields to Georgia. 2018 should be interesting.
I just don't get it. Eason, Fromm, now Fields. Meanwhile, Florida can't recruit a quarterback to save their lives.
ALL of the qbs are going to Clemson and UGA. ALL of the rbs are going to UGA. ALL of the wrs are going to Clemson. These 2 schools are maybe an hr apart and they're about to dominate college football for the next 4-5 years at least.

There are a lot more WRs and RBs both in HS and that can play in college. You can play one QB without invoking the dreaded maxim (If you got two QBs, really...). The way QBs pile up at one school while seemingly leaving another bare is just a strange phenomenon. Florida should be able to recruit a QB. Even though quack Florida.

It's a good problem to have. We're probably going to lose one because next year we'll have 4, maybe 5 guys that are good enough to start at qb. UGA is probably going to lose Eason.
What has happened with WatchESPN? Every game I try to watch, the stream is horrible due to constantly buffering.
Their whole new interface sucks too. I'm also kinda peeved they took out the option to have PiP or quad streams at once. And when you try to open two streams in separate tabs they shut one down.

I actually went out to eat just to watch the game somewhere. Oh well, at least I’ve got good food.
UF doesn't get to OT because of a missed XP and the Hokies have looked awful in the 2nd, yuck. Don't understand why Zaire is not getting any chances. Nice to see Savory have a big night for VT, he's took over as 2nd target for JJ.
As much as I hate to say it, Miami is in a really good position. They could slip up to GT or ND, but as long as they beat Virginia Tech they will most likely be 11-1 and potentially playing for a playoff spot in the ACC title game. Hopefully VT gets Phillips healthy and takes care of them so we don't see that scenario play out.
