They replaced Spurrier, Urban, Richt, Petrino, Franklin, prime Les Miles, and Pinkel with Muschamp, Muschamp/McElwain, Smart, Bielema, Mason, failed Coach O, and some guy who dresses as Mizzou's coach on Saturdays (Barry Odom, I get complaints about him from my Mizzou friends all the time). That's what happened.
The second best coach is Dan Mullen, he's a pretty freakin good coach. Obviously Kirby Smart has a high ceiling and has a chance to have a higher high than Richt.
Actually some pretty good potential at QB in the league right now. Bentley at South Carolina, Nick Fitzgerald at MSU, Nick Eason - lots of young QB talent in the league.
Second best team? I'll take Texas A&Mahahahahahahahahaha Auburn.
I picked Auburn 2nd as well. 2nd best coach I had to go with Mcilwain. None of the others have been there long enough or been consistent enough. QB I have no idea. They've struggled there as a whole. Even their best teams haven't had great qbs for a while.
Interestingly enough, I was looking at some award watch lists. The QB one hasn't come out yet, but the Maxwell has. 34 QBs on the list. The SEC has seven QBs on the list (Arkansas, South Carolina, Georgia, Miss State, Alabama, Ole Miss, Auburn). The ACC has 4 (Syracuse, Florida State, Louisville, Duke).

Some of those are laughable. Stidham is probably the best qb in the league, but he hasn't even played a game in the league yet. SC is treating Bentley like their savior but he hasn't beat a good team yet. Eason has a huge arm and nothing else. I don't believe Hurts is even starting? At least that's what I heard? That could be wrong. An Auburn fan told me. The guy from ARK should be good, but we just think that because his brother was. The guy at Miss St is for real, probably 2nd best. I don't know much about the guy from Ole Miss, other than hype of what he was supposed to be.

Yeah. I was really surprised by some of those as well. I haven't heard anything about Hurts not starting. You're making a mistake trusting an Auburn fan for solid info on Alabama. What do you think of the ACC noms?

Just the qbs? Well we all know how good Jackson and Francois are. I don't even know the guy from Duke, has he played before? Syracuse's qb is a system guy. Whoever starts for us will be good. There's almost too much talent around him for him to not be. Whoever our starter is will probably be 3rd best.
Yea there's a huge Auburn guy at work, he's from there. He kept telling me that the FR is starting for Bama. I didn't really believe him, but I haven't checked either.
I can't say I disagree that's not a possibility. I was talking to a guy at work about it. We both have this feeling that the wheels are gonna come off this year especially if Georgia Tech goes bad (which it can). That being said, this might also mean we go 11-1 this season.
I'm lovin the change Tom Herman has brought over the summer. He's got the whole squad on strict diets and workout regiments and the results are uncanny. So far they don't look anywhere near as lazy and tired as they did at this point during the past 3 years.. I think Texas will surprise people this year. 8-4 at worst.

Yea 7-5 if you beat GT. Maybe get to 8-4 if you can beat Kentucky.

Vanderbilt is the danger. I still don't know how they blew it against them last season

I have to attend a wedding with my girlfriend and miss this game...actually this should go in the GRRR thread except those complaints are more serious.

Who gets married in the middle of Oct.?
Lots of lame people, I've discovered.
My brother and I just averted a family catastrophe in the last month by pointing out to my cousin that the date she was looking at for her wedding was the Pitt-Penn St game in 2018 in Pittsburgh. They moved the date a weekend back (she wasn't happy with us though).

Our wedding ended up being in Sep. but it wasn't supposed to be. It was supposed to be at the end of Aug. and we had to change the date for some reason that I can't even remember.

Having some trouble joining. Not sure where I'm going wrong.
Create a confidence pick em, then join the inforoo group and choose that pick em? Without more details I dunno what to say. A few ppl have joined already, so it shouldn't be weird.
