I just want to mention that Michigan twitter is very excited for Saturday’s matchup of Brady Hoke and Cajun Brady Hoke.
They better tune in early because there's a good chance the game will be over by the end of the first quarter.
Yesterday, Tennessee fans get reports that Gruden has Tennessee on his shortlist of places to coach if he were to put on the headset again, and he had been reaching out to potential stuff and Vol alumni regarding the job. Today, pretty much the exact opposite. link
Maaaaaaaaybe you can justify Oklahoma jumping us, but Clemson lost to Syracuse. I'd be pretty upset if we were #4.
I wouldn't be upset with anything in the top 4. It won't matter because it's all going to be figured out in the ACCCG. One of them stays, one of them goes.
They would have to win out and beat Alabama impressively in the SEC championship to get back in without help. Much like Miami, they are a team people want to see as less so they have to be twice as good to get the credit.

Nah just have to win out their games and beat whoever in the sec chanpionship by 5.
I would be very surprised if this actually happens, but ... this guy is a wizard if it's true. lol
One article I saw yesterday stated Florida had been making calls vetting him. Today, another article stated the SEC had stated they would not oppose Florida hiring him if they so chose. Hiring rumors is the obvious next step.
I'm sorry, CFP Committee, but y'all are fucking dumb.
Because of...?
I thought the rankings mostly make sense, save for them trying to make the Big Ten look better by Northwestern being ranked (remember when they got beat by 4-6 Duke by 24?). And Wisconsin at 5 still irritates me. Think Auburn would be 10-0 with the Badgers schedule? I do. Think Wisky would be 8-2 with Auburn schedule? Much less likely.
I was surprised we're #2. I thought we'd be 4, maybe 3. They're giving us a lot if respect. I think they look at it like Herbsreit does, if Clemson puts it all together they're the best team. They're pretty much throwing out that loss because KB was hurt.

I can't even put into words how dumb it is to excuse a loss because of an injury.
Other than that, Clemson at 2 is kinda dumb, but whoever wins the ACC is in, so it'll work itself out. And OSU isn't getting in, their 2 blowout losses should disqualify them.

They consider injuries for march madness seeding. Why wouldn't they do it for football? If he was healthy we would have won. Anyway, I may not even agree with the ranking myself, but I also believe it doesn't matter. They have the top 4 teams right, the order doesn't really matter.

you only play 12 games, less of a sample size as basketball. injuries happen to every team. part of football is having depth, "next man up," having another facet of your team step up. I hate the whole "we woulda done this", play the damn game, and let the result speak for itself. Anyways - I think that whole narrative is bs anyways, the committee is valuing good wins over bad losses anyway.

So what should FSU's record be adjusted to for Francois' injury?
Bear with me but... screw you, Auburn. I was totally ready to watch a death spiral this year and was completely checked out. How dare they make this one of the more interesting recent years. Now I get to turn into a nervous mess during the Iron Bowl again.

Exactly and there's no debating we have more good wins. I think we've beat 7 teans with a winning record. Bama is next with 5. I'd argue myself that Oklahoma has more of a claim to be ahead of us than Miami does because beating Ohio St, TCU and Ok St is better than beating Auburn, NC St and VT and our loss is worse than their loss. I think they're holding their defense against them, which means they really are analyzing every little detail and that's good.

idk they haven't even looked good in their wins. They could easily be 0-9. I'm sure Francois would have made a difference but not sure how many wins it would have added.
