#shotsfired Another person going on record saying that Jones was an abusive shit head.
Yeah, it's not really a good look, and may ruin any goodwill he has left with fanbase
Local reaction ranges from "I told you he was awful!!" to "Nuh uh. I know a player, and he likes Butch." to "He's fired. Move on. Stop living in the past."
As told in an excellent profile of Kiffin and FAU by Chris Low of ESPN, “Kiffin says he still sends text messages to Saban, though Saban doesn’t text back — with anyone. However, Kiffin has conversed with Saban’s wife, Terry, via text message.”
I don't see how Chip Kelly picks UF over UCLA, honestly.
it's the west coast, the PAC12 south (and pac12 in general) is up for grabs to anyone every year, UCLA expectations/boosters/fan culture in general seems like a better fit for the notoriously prickly Kelly.

:crosses fingers and hopes:
I think the idea of Kelly wanting to be on the west coast gets overblown. He was born and raised in the northeast, and supposedly still lives in New Hampshire during the off-season.
Comes down to what he is chasing, coaching in an easier conference at a school with reasonable expectations or coaching in the most prominent conference in college football with expectations through the roof.
I'm betting we here a confirmation one way or another on Friday.
I hope that the regular season being over this weekend will get some announcements going about coaching vacancies. If anything, I hope Tennessee's announcement comes sooner rather than later as the fan base is starting to lose the fragile grip they have on sanity.

Just noticed that UT is playing West Virginia week 1 next season in Charlotte. Why not have that game in Cincinnati? Would have been closer for both schools.

yup, and since he apparently hates recruiting, both of those schools are in some of the most talent rich areas in the country...should be interesting. I would imagine after his NFL tenure was a complete failure, he'd be looking to nurse his ego.

It's actually a push for Knoxville. Google has it within 4 minutes travel time difference. There may be a better relationship with the conferences. Also, Bank of America Stadium holds 75k. Paul Brown holds 65k.

Jauan Jennings went off on instagram regarding the coaching at Tennessee. Hoke announces Jennings is dismissed from the team hours later. Shit is getting wild. Fan base is totally losing their shit.

Reports now coming out that Jennings was basically dismissed from the program before he made his now infamous video. Highlights include him being awol for most of the season after his injury to the extent his locker was cleaned out because they thought he quit, refusing to do injury rehab in house, skipping practice before the injury and leaving practice Wednesday without permission after they would not let him take reps at quarterback.
In an unrelated note, nothing highlights Tennessee being a football school like all the people questioning Currie being at a men's basketball tournament while a coaching search is going on with the football team.

Now that Kelly seems unlikely at Florida, they're reportedly going heavy after Frost. I really wish Tennessee would just get done with whoever they're hiring, so I can decide how boned we are.
If anything, he should cheer for Auburn because it helps Miami's best path back into the dance.
Also, reports now coming out that Tennessee's coaching search will be done soon and will be announced by Monday evening at the latest. The article lists Mullen, Gruden and (out of nowhere) Chris Petersen as the likely candidates. If all true, props to Currie for keeping the tight lid on things he promised. Part of Tennessee fans insanity is that there have been really zero reliable leaks as to what is going on.
