If anything, he should cheer for Auburn because it helps Miami's best path back into the dance.
Also, reports now coming out that Tennessee's coaching search will be done soon and will be announced by Monday evening at the latest. The article lists Mullen, Gruden and (out of nowhere) Chris Petersen as the likely candidates. If all true, props to Currie for keeping the tight lid on things he promised. Part of Tennessee fans insanity is that there have been really zero reliable leaks as to what is going on.
I would be surprised if it was Petersen. He seems to have a good thing going in Seattle, and the Pac 12 isn't that much of a downgrade from the SEC.

A one loss Alabama team isn’t what Miami needs to get back in. I fear that and a two loss OSU big 10 champion.
We need one of the following to guarantee a spot if we beat Clemson:
Alabama wins out (knocks out UGA and Auburn) Oklahoma loses to WVU or TCU Georgia loses to GTech and Alabama beats Auburn OSU loses to Michigan and beats Wisconsin Wisconsin loses to Minnesota and beats OSU
If anything, he should cheer for Auburn because it helps Miami's best path back into the dance.

There were some rumblings earlier in the season about him not being happy with the PAC-12 because they keep insisting on prime time kicks in Pacific time which he feels compromises any PAC-12 team getting national exposure. He makes a good point because I have a hard time watching all of those games that start at ten or later Eastern regardless of how much I want to see it. Also, an article mentioned Seattle's cost of living is around 34% higher than Knoxville so it'd be like he's getting a raise even if they sign him to a similar salary. Regardless, it was just random for him to pop up this late as he isn't a name I've seen come up much so far.

Knox County Mayor got jokes.
Good thing they went ahead and fired Riley. It was probably a bad look to have reports that the deal with another coach was done before you fired the coach you had. Not Arkansas bad but still bad.

This is the most typical sign you'll see all day... It's long been established that UGA doesn't except applications from virgins and nerds so they all end up in Atlanta.
And a Tech fan responded on Twitter with the typical "you spelt boss wrong."
Depending on how next week goes, they may miss out on the playoffs because of this. Not saying it's likely but it could definitely happen.
There is zero chance, zero. They will put in a one loss Bama and they probably wont be worse than #2
I wouldn't put it at zero chance. Over the last couple weeks, national media seems to be harping more on that Alabama's schedule this year was softer than usual. Auburn ended up being the only really good team they played and they lost.
My friends are trying to convince me that if Miami wins next week we’ll definitely get in before Bama.
Talk me off the ledge.
I think you would given especially if Clemson wins tonight. Conference championships have to mean something. A one loss power five conference champion should get in over a one loss power five team that didn't play in their championship game. Given this, I could probably think of a scenario where both Miami and Alabama get in.
