Have you SEEN the SEC East? If I remember correctly, Mizzou beat the following schools in the six game win streak: Florida (Sagarin - 64), Tennessee (94), Vanderbilt (82), Kentucky (65), Arkansas (75), and UConn (134).
ACC Champ - IN SEC Champ - IN Oklahoma - IN (with a win) 4th spot comes down to Big Ten Champ vs. USC as PAC XII Champ (in my opinion), and I think it's overwhelmingly the Big Ten champ. I just have a real hard time with OSU's two losses - by two scores at home to Oklahoma and a blowout on the road at Iowa - overcoming their good wins (PSU at home, Wisky neutral, in this theory, and I guess Michigan St and Michigan).
The Vols can't really hire Schiano, can they? I think it would easily be the worst hire of the offseason and there's still like 20 hires to be made.
Oh I think it's a real possibility. Several reports I've read put him more as a safety net if everything else falls through.
Dan Wolken tweeted that they are in final negotiations and hope to announce today. That can't be a safety net. At least wait to see what happens with Florida/Mullen/Frost! Mullen would be ideal. But Campbell, Norvell, Bill Clark, Frank Wilson are all names off the cuff that would be better than a retread Schiano.

The CFP Poll Tuesday night:
1. Clemson 2. Oklahoma 3. Wisconsin 4. Auburn 5. Alabama 6. Georgia 7. Miami 8. Ohio State 9. Penn State 10. USC
SEC and ACC champions are in. USC and TCU are Out no matter what. I think if Ohio State wins, they’re in over Alabama (tougher schedule, Conference Title over only one loss, but who knows). If Oklahoma and Wisconsin lose, Alabama in.

Maybe it's just me but I hate a system where teams are rewarded for being blown off the field twice.

If true, Tennessee's fan base will be fucking furious.
Did you see Sportscenter reporting it too? Looks like it's true.
Fair enough. I don't think it's a bad hire by any means. He's definitely not as sexy a hire as some of the other people who were brought up, but he did well with his time at Rutgers. My first concern is that I remember him getting crap for not succeeding in the NFL because he had kind of a heavy hand with his players. With the reports of jokes being of a similar vein, I wonder how the locker room reacts to the hire.
Twitter says it's a mistake and Twitter is never wrong.

Can a record one win north of .500 be considered "doing well?"

Yes, yes I know this Rutgers we're talking about.
You're better than this, sir. Don't be one of those people who says Frost is a shitty hire because he was 6-7 last year. You have to go beyond the total win-loss and looks at the trend.

I'll give you it's not the most glowing resume but there's a difference between the start and the end.
