Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
$50 flight from Tampa to Houston on Southwest on the Friday of the fest. It's deathly early, but can't beat that. And my girlfriend, who is usually indifferent to most fest lineups, loves this lineup. Will this my chance to finally meet most of you in-person?
first day, first act on main stage, left of soundboard. see you there!
gonna start researching flights tonight. not sure where my sister will be living in relation to the fest come december since the hurricane happened and they have to move. if they're a decent drive away and she isn't into the lineup, i may force myself into one of your hotel rooms saturday night.
We really need to rename this board. All we talk about is all of these other fests that are way better than Bonnaroo now.
Seriously. I joined this forum before my first Roo last year, but now I think of Inforoo as the primary source of information in the US for music festivals and any music related news.

Yep. Same. Joined it for Roo, still here because of all non Roo reasons

I'd say that's worth $100 lol, anyone I'm missing that I shouldn't miss?
Laurie Anderson. She's an artists' artist. We saw her with no one there back in the 1980's do a one person show with 3 keyboards, video screens, an electric violin and microphone. She worked with Adrian Belew in the 80's KC era (Sharkey's Day) and also as I mentioned earlier, Peter Gabriel with Excellent Birds. Easy Top 3 set for me. She's a fucking goddess in a similar way to St. Vincent's work in the 20-teens --> completely different music though.
I don't think there will ever be a festival that I will be more confident in purchasing blind pre-sale. Day For Night - I will be planning for it every single year.
So proud to have went to the first festival on a laast-minute whim, and jumped at the chance to return for the second.
Sadly at this moment, actually attending is still up in the air for me. I'm really hoping it works out.
I'll take you back to before you were born. She worked as a pioneer with voice tracks before very many people were doing it.
Sharkey's Day circa 1984 (?) w/ Adrian Belew
This is the Picture w/ Peter Gabriel (Excellent Birds)
Here's her from Moog Fest last year. She's as an incredible of a violinist as she is a keyboard player. Just a fucking queen.
Yeah I just read something about how she used tape instead of bow to make samples with the violin or something. Pretty neat. O Superman was where I started.

Yeah, that's I think from her first album. Mr. Heartbreak, the second, put her on the map. Most of my neighborhood was progressive so we actively sought out the more musical side of music in the early 80's. One of my cousins who was a giant Residents fan was I think the first one I knew who loved Laurie. She's a great story teller. She can play the fuck out of her instruments. She sings well enough. Really, I can't wait. I figured out that I saw her in 1986. So that's 31 f'n years between shows. That's okay with me, and I'm glad she's still kicking.
I haven't seen Inforoo this excited since the Bonnaroo 2014 lineup.
Yeah man. Day for Night brings everyone with eclectic tastes together more than any other festival. Question is, is it just us music freaks though? Presale should have flown off the shelves. Last year should have sold out. It didn't happen. Maybe too good a thing? Glad you are planning on making it man.

Yes. But if you like the lineup and think youll have a great time, it shouldnt matter. Smaller crowds make for a better experience anyway.
But if you are complaining that fests like Roo or Lolla don't have similar lineups, there's your answer.

I've already hit up the "shareholders" and stated that I think this forum would be hugely successful as just a general festival forum, rather than just focused on Bonnaroo, but no dice.

You can sleep in my hotel room's bath tub. I'll fill it with catfish for you.
