Yes. But if you like the lineup and think youll have a great time, it shouldnt matter. Smaller crowds make for a better experience anyway.
But if you are complaining that fests like Roo or Lolla don't have similar lineups, there's your answer.
I agree for sure about smaller crowds. I was jealous as shit of you and everyone who was at some of those early Meadows sets. My thing with Day for Night is that I want it to succeed financially because it's the only non-local festival that I already know I want to go to 9 months before the lineup is out. That's the confidence I have in Omar Afra. My biggest issue is finding a big enough Air B&B for the 8 people tagging along. We had a palace 4 miles away last year, but they aren't on for this year. We will find something in the 750.00 range for 3 nights or else I'll sleep in my fucking car. I don't even care.
Well they can't be hurting too badly if they are bringing it back this year.
An airbnb for that many people is probably a challenge. Why not split into 2 groups of 4?
Well guys, looks like Friday's "Pre Party" is actually going to be me and beebee fighting to the death.
buy me a weekend pass and i'll write you up a nice obituary.
How about you go ahead and pre-write your own obituary, buy your own pass, and I'll make sure yours goes to someone deserving so they can enjoy the festival.
he's done a lot for Eno it seems. This is a great mix/song, not sure who's doing most of the heavy lifting but I'm into it.
Lanois is the steel guitarist.
He's also an awesome, pioneering producer. Check out some of the albums he has had a hand in. Like I mentioned, I was lucky enough to have seen his very first show. I remember (?!?) it was mostly acoustic. It supported his first (?) album Acadie which was a love song to us from French Canada which is an ancestral culture for Louisiana. Skim through it if you get the chance. It was early in his performing career. I saw him one other time which I think was a year later.

Oh. It's a Christmas present for my kids and various bfs/gfs. And a couple of their friends will crash. It shouldn't be a problem getting what we need. Only thing I haven't checked on is post storm availability. ima have to go ahead and get on that shit this week.

If ya find something decent and need a +1 I might end up switching out the AirBnB I booked. Too many weird rules. ClubQ is already rising in price pretty quick.
Edit: If anyone needs a +1, I just need a place to sleep, shower and drink a beer in peace. And by peace I mean w music potentially turned way up.
Eno, the best U2 albums, Peter Gabriel, Neville Brothers (Yellow Moon), Dylan, Luscious Jackson, etc. I'll be honest and say I don't know what that him x the other guy show is about. I saw that video link earlier and will check it out because I plan to see Lanois at D4N and will want to know what I'm going see.
Also, compliments of gibsonguy20 off Coachella Boards, "Radio Soulwax is the former project of David and Stephen Dewaele of 2manydjs. It has taken several forms, most recently appearing as an app and web app hosting 24 individual hour-long mixes, with custom visuals similar to those used in the 2manydjs live sets.
I assume this is what you're getting with Soulwax already having live dates on 12/15 and 12/17 in the U.K."

Laurie Anderson reminded me I really wanted/thought they would get Blue Sky Black Death back together. This festival was booked so damn well this year though.
Just booked at the Marriott Springhill Suites (same as last year). I would have done the Club Quarters, but one bed just won't do, and that seems to be all they have. I seriously hope that work allows this to happen for me, seeing as how Oregon Eclipse didn't happen because of work. Need to do a lot of research on acts, but def glad to be seeing GYBE again...they were beyond incredible at MOEMS!!!

And gracias to him for the information.
lol for what its worth, thats just copy and pasted from wikipedia if you google Radio Soulwax
booked a room at club quarters just in case i need it. i can always pass it on to someone here if my sister moves close enough to the venue. there's a flight pit-hou that is super reasonable, and i wouldn't have to take any time off work!

Via Wiki then. If legit, that's what it is. Found a downtown penthouse with Mack ass balcony over the city many stories high but across town. Gonna jump it, and I hope to see you and pass you over my head at En Vogue.

What rate did you guys get at Close Quarters? The cheapest refundable room is $250 for two nights and one queen bed after tax. Not bad but just wondering if it's already gone up.
no yellow stage and incorrectly assumes none of the acts will play Friday. Still it gives you an idea of potential conflicts. Acts are generally ordered according how they were listed, with stages chosen based on genres that were on those stages last year.

I paid $306 for 3 nights, 15th-18th, refundable. Booked it a while ago though.
That is slightly more than I paid last year though, want to say it was more in the $260 range for 3 nights.

Some tough conflicts, but all things considered this schedule would work out nicely for me. NIN vs Tyler vs Jamie would be the worst one for me.
