Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
D4N is fucking up. Metz and Gary Numan are playing separate shows in Houston the weekend of the festival.
Metz show canceled, just saw.
So from what I've seen the shows during the weekend so far...I'll try to keep everyone in the loop if some more shows pop up, the concert scene around here usually dies around Dec., but there's a handful of venues around town that don't have their schedules for Dec. out yet.
Dec - 15 - Dead Kennedy's - White Oak Music Hall Dec - 15 - Gary Numan - Warehouse Live Dec - 15 - Turnpike Troubadours - House of Blues
Dec - 16 - Paul Wall & Co. - Warehouse Live
Dec - 17 - Agnostic Front - White Oak
Edit: If you like punk and electronic music this could be a solid little weekend.
*whispers* I hope Thom conflicts with justice instead of Solange
*ducks out before someone throws something at my head
I'm willing to bet anything that Justice is the late night EDM closer right after Thom Yorke.
I'd be shocked if Justice played the Blue stage. The only scenario I see that as a possibility is if they are doing a DJ set and even then it's a stretch.

Good looks, glad I waited on buying my passes. Got them cheaper and on top of it a portion goes to a great cause.

DKs and Agnostic Front? My AF story was we saw them in Pensacola. I had an ankle injury from twisting it slam dancing at some other show. As cool as AF is, they always attracted Nazis and Skinheads. Those guys were beating up young kids and shit. After the show one of them slapped my friend Bonnie in the face and George G (formerly drummer of Virul Nihils and Short Dogs Grow) clocked that motherfucker. Fighting ensued, and AF joined in with us to kick ass on the nazis. Haha. Antifa before it was cool.
I think the music started around or just after 3:00. I went in about 2:20 for the first day because they kicked that off with Welcome to Houston. I went in on Sunday a little before the music started because I wanted to go upstairs to walk through some of the light art exhibits.
Like Esteban said it's worth going in early each day to check out the art, since you'll likely have must see music acts from the opening act to the closing act.
That's exactly it Post. Because there is so much music, and because many of the sets are short and overlap, you're probably going to have a full day of music already. Going early meant no lines for the food trucks so you could get whatever you wanted and also allowed time to roam the other areas on your own time. I'm not sure what time they opened the gates (12? 1? 2?), but being able to take more of it in on a leisurely pace was nice.
Oh and, "TIME AND SPACE ARE RUNNING OUT: ]
Time being that we're only 43 days out from Friday pre-party, and I guess space is running out because they'll possibly sell it out? Hopefully they smooth the layout a bit if they're going to add a few more thousand people.

Ok so one thing I am still confused about. Jenny Hval. Is she just talking or is she actually playing because if it's the latter I am getting my Friday pass right now. I want to see her so bad.

She’s not listed under the “talk” lineup. Definitely a performance and one I’m looking forward to.

unfortunately for everyone these are generally pretty expensive tickets, but not Cavs/Warriors expensive. from what I'm seeing on Flash Seats it's not as much as it's been in the past so thats good. ideally Chris Paul will be back by then and the quality of games starts going up in December usually so could end up being a pretty great game.
there's also a taping of doug loves movies on friday night if anyone is into that. it's about $20, which i'm sure is cheaper than the game. i've been to a couple of the live shows and they're always a lot of fun.

My god fuck yes. Now I MUST get the Friday single pass.
Hopefully schedule is out in the next couple of weeks since we're down to 5 1/2, but God Speed! You Black Emperor is Sunday, 12/17 per their tour dates as they will be in San Antonio on Saturday. cstrecords.com/gybe/
From the rest of the top few:
Nine Inch Nails - unclear though you'd think they'd play Saturday
LMFAO and I knew that. :covri: I was searching for any news I could find with me starting to get that itch. If nothing else, got the St. Vincent extra cities up there.

It is kinda hard to find the daily by a Google search. I was trying to show it to a friend of mine and I ended up using the image ken bone posted here.
Word. Forgetting I had commented on the by days required a small measure of redemption. Haha. Fwiw, it was a Monday which would coincide with this upcoming Monday if they were on the same release schedule. If not, we are close. Crystal Ball says endless conflicts and limited opportunities to see full sets. Some people might say it’s a good problem to have, but there’s really a lot of shit across the midcard I want to see.
