He has put on songs that have become popular but they are by no means bangers. Also, he is mediocre at best but he is slowly taking up slots in line-ups that would have held much better talent. Vince Staples is in every way a better rapper and performer and he is no where near Post's popularity or recognition at the moment. Democracy rules so if people show up to Post's set and love it, he'll continue to appear on 3rd and 2nd lines. Hopefully never a headliner.

Agreed. I did not care for White Iverson when it came out but it got it's hooks into me. And Candy Paint, Rock Star, Congratulations are all great songs.
We can argue how much of that greatness is due to Post's talent and how much is due to producers and songwriters, but they are still great songs.

That’s the thing about Post Malone. His music is whatever, not great not terrible, but for *some reason* he’s significantly more popular than his equally talented (or more talented) peers, which is a little frustrating.

Go see Moses. Benjamin Clementine was difficult to connect with at a show with like 100 people in a tent, I can't imagine it's going to go over any better on the hot main stage.
