So the Cantina is open again this year right? Probably going to go watch the Celtics-Bucks game in there on Sunday when it's supposed to be hot as balls.
While not a huge fan of Cardi music, she tore it up on stage, while pregnant, in the middle of afternoon when it was hot as balls. She apparently also dropped 300k on hiring all the stage dancers and production while only being paid 70k for the performance. The music industry sure can stiff ya.

Do you honestly think she doesn't make enough money to put so much money in her performance. I mean, can you imagine what that stage production of ODESZA must've costed? Or Beyoncé? Getting press and attention because of your performance is much more important than the money you're going to get for it by Coachella. Which is what Cardi obviously wanted, she wants people to keep on talking about her.. Production wise there were not that many outstanding ones in the Sahara to begin with this year..
Also, happy to report for fans like 3post1jack1 that Chris Liebing actually played a heavy techno set for once in America.

I didn't take any videos, but I was shocked. A lot of the long build-ups and techno-friendly transitions, a complete 180 from when I saw him at Space in Miami and at Movement in 2016. Reminded me much more of what he plays in Europe.

Of course she is making money elsewhere but don't be naive to think that all is holy in the music world. Nothing is promised in the this business and she just netted a $-440k loss for these performances. I can't tell you about her latest endorsment deals, records sales, streaming and youtube revenue but that sure is a large chunk of money to think about. The point was she put in a lot of effort and he appeared to not give a fuck which may click with his audience. So be it.
