I think Gorrilaz will end up being slightly more exclusive than this page reads. The singles this far have been massive though.. I doubt GV will miss an opportunity to have them on this album cycle.
NIN is more a mid-tier placeholder at this point and probably one Coachella could afford to live without.
How have these singles been "massive"? They haven't charted anywhere in the US (rock/alt radio, pop radio, Hot 100, etc.) and the last time Gorillaz toured the US it got mixed reviews do to the fact that much of their shows used pre-recorded vocals for the guests.
Go back and watch that Gorillaz set at Coachella from 2010, it's quite underwhelming. Besides Drake, they may have been the most disappointing headliner they've ever had.
I'm going with Beyonce - Oasis - Justin Timberlake for 2018...
Because they massively kick ass and I don't need charts for that. I was at Coachella 2010. I was also the one originally arguing they aren't a lock just because the U.K. fest, but I also know Damon's history with Coachella and that someone there clearly has a boner for his work. Plus this album has plenty of relevant guests to make this set Coach worthy.
Also, they wouldn't book Timberlake AND Beyoncé and Oasis is the least likely pick of any act being discussed.

The Gorillaz set in 2010 was solid and Calvin Harris was way worse than Drake
Right, but all their big tours have purposeful two-week breaks that suggest they need that time to rest. I doubt they use their break period to go to Coachella in between Euro dates.
I'd like to keep it around $500-$700 a person for Thurs-Monday
Jesus you trying to rent a mansion with an olympic sized swimming pool?
If there's 4 people, $500 each would be a budget of $2000. That's a completely normal price-range for a house with a pool in Indio and the surrounding area the weekend of Coachella with enough beds.
I spend $500-$700 for a hotel room for 4 days, didn't seem unreasonable to me.

When you said "sick house" I was expecting a house that fit more than 4 people, I had like 10 people in my head, meaning $5,000-$7,000 for the weekend.

Oh, no, I sincerely doubt being able to find 10 people from inforoo willing to go in on a house. I'm being realistic.
My group's house was around $4,700 this year for 10 people (plus $1,000 security deposit). Booked Thursday night through Monday afternoon.
About three miles from the fields, 4 bedroom, nice pool, good location. We signed up in July of last year and it was about market rate for houses in a similar location at a similar size.
If you're trying to go 10 people or under, unless you stay in a crummy place or super far away it's hard to do cheaper than $100 per night per person.

When she said "sick house" I thought she meant renting out a hospital in Indio.

I'm not sure showering in private and being able to talk about cool music the ENTIRE time is worth the extra $500 to me when camping makes so much sense. I'll see what I can pull together but that money could be very well put towards another festival that summer
No Easter conflict makes it hard to chose Weekend 2 as well... May have to do Weekend 1 again. Last year I regretted it after but this year I'm regretting it now and I don't know which is worse.

I'd be down as well.
Also I can't believe it's a week away. I remember watching the livestream in my senior year of high school and thinking I'd never make it out there. I'm so goddamn hyped.
