reuinited Zepp, Fleetwood mac, and roger waters would get me here
I doubt we'd get Roger Waters again, but maybe David Gilmour. it's not quite the same kind of show that Waters puts on but it's great in its own way. probably not a great fit for DT though.
I don’t think you can top the first one’s line up now days, unless there were a couple major reunions. Zepp would certainly anchor things, but I wouldn’t hold my breath for Talking Heads. Of the acts that have been active lately, I could see…
Led Zeppelin Bruce Springsteen Fleetwood Mac (even without Buckingham, they’d have to be there) Stevie Wonder Elton John Billie Joel
You just need Zep and Bruce on there to make it worth everyones while.
Just wait until last minute to buy tickets! I felt like an idiot for buying the cheapest tier weekend one passes in the back when for the same price I could have been in the front pit. Silver lining - got to hit Desert Daze that year too!

I think that the resale market might be weird for this one. Knowing full and well that it would be Zeps only ( or 2 ) performances and itll never happen again. Dont know if you recall but when they did the Zeppelin show at the O2 in 07 they put some tickets on ebay for charity and the prices were crazy. Its not like people didnt know you could just see all of the Desert Trip acts separately and later on, its just in one setting. So its gonna be a bargain paying maybe $500 for the artists at the next version.

Yeah, I was thinking about this too. That’s assuming they only do two shows and don’t tank the secondary market with a tour.
I enjoyed the hell out of being in the back anyways. Super laid back and still felt immersive.
I’m going to go ahead and spoil the lineup for everyone. Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Genesis, Elton John,Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen at DT23. That’s what you’re probably going to get! I personally want Robert Plant with Jimmy Page Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Beach Boys 60th anniversary reunion with Brian Wilson back, The Police,Talking Heads. My wild cards/long shots would be heart or Dave Grohl with Zeppelin and no Plant,Plant with Jack White, Eric Clapton ,U2, Metallica, Coldplay,David Gilmour, Madonna, Brittany Spears,Iggy Pop performing the Doors with Robby and John. Blondie, Joan Jett with Nirvana, Oasis, REM, The Smiths, Daft Punk.

2nd person to ignore how fucking frail Phil Collins is on this current Genesis tour. I don’t think the dude’s even going to make it to 2023.

i love punctuation
there's plenty of punctuation in there but not in the right spots, maybe short a few spaces if anything
Rumor is long awaited Bruce dates finally coming tomorrow and there's a rumor on the rumor that there will be no West Coast dates in the first North American leg of the tour (Feb-April) while leaving the second North American leg (Sept-Oct) unannounced. Would essentially confirm Desert Trip II

But its going to drive Coachella rumors through the roof moreso because of the April gap if W1 and W2 are wide open. For now there is a date in Cleveland as far as April 5th.

In what world does having no West Coast dates announced confirm Desert Trip II? lol

Cause there is almost no reason why he wouldnt come west to do some arena dates despite hitting up stadiums likely in the same markets 6 months later. So it kinda screams exclusive with whole area of the country not getting dates til the later part of 2023.
Doubt Bruce could sell LA arena and stadium in same year anyway, he's not a massive draw on that side of the country. Maybe just holding off for stadiums for west coast

Youre serious? His last shows here were super sold out. Could easily do arena dates in LA and a stadium. People travel. And this surely puts him square on the side of a festival date with California being totally out on this first run when he goes to Seattle and Portland

Did three arena shows in LA in 2016. Could have easily done an arena show in the spring and a stadium in the fall on this tour, so they're obviously cooking something for the fall.
Seeing that "dynamic demand pricing" on Ticketmaster caused a lot of Springsteen tickets to sell for +$5,000 and that the AVERAGE TICKET for the tour sold at $262 because of this price gouging, GV has to be licking its chops at what it can charge for DT2.

Why. They charged what they charged last time which was seen as gouging yet the resale market crashed because of a second weekend.
