What a fucking jerk withholding a reunion for the generations that never got to see Zep live. As if allowing MILLIONS of people to see their favorite band live for the first time isn’t stimulating.

Artists don't owe you shit.
Please. The chance for any musician coming up today to turn down 15 mil because it doesn’t stimulate them is a luxury. Only the most privileged musicians get to say fuck you to their fans, only to have randos on the internet back them with the bs line “They don’t owe you shit!” Never said they did! But how the fuck is a Zep reunion NOT fucking stimulating to Robert Plant when it’d be a completely new experience for 70% of the crowd, and in return, for him.
You sure are acting like it. Do you get pissed off at everybody other band with a large fanbase for refusing to reunite? What a weird thing to get angry about.

Personally I think more privileged millionaires should say “no thanks” to earning another 15 mil they don’t need or want.

Playing Led Zep songs to a crowd of people who haven't seen them before is something Plant did many, many times when the band was at its peak and was a vital force.
I suppose doing it with Jimmy Page being 80 years old and only having played live a handful of times the last 20 years, and the audience being mostly rich guys in their 60s and 70s, might qualify as a new experience but I'm not sure how stimulating that would be.

IMO it’s gross for him NOT to accept the money and help people in need. I’d rather him phone in a few shows and donate 100% of the proceeds.
why dont they just reunite with the singer of GVF taking plants place? win win, zep reunion that makes a ton of money and Plant doesnt have to be involved

Thats what they did with the money for the 2007 show. And yes, they dont owe us anything but aside from the payday Plant probably thinks doing Zep songs might just be boring as shit.
On the other side of the spectrum, Oasis reuniting is gonna happen eventually and both Noel and Liam understand that theres a whole generation of fans who never saw them. But they just cant get their shit together to make it work.

Liam is the new version of Oasis for the younger generations. His solo albums are somewhat popular (more so than Noel's) but he wouldn't have been able to sell out two nights at Knebworth, 160k people, without an Oasis heavy set. I think they're both fine with this arrangement, don't see a reunion happening without some MASSIVE amount of money.

My hot Oasis take is that Noel and Liam hating each other is mostly a bit at this point and they’ll reunite when the time/money is right and it will be fine.

I generally agree that they hype up the feud. That said, they are incredibly volatile, and there is some real deep-seated resentment between them. I could see them doing something like 10 nights at Wembley. I don't think they would be able to pull off a full tour without things falling apart.

Robert Plant can do whatever he wants and doesn't owe anybody anything, but it is funny that he cites his need to be "creatively stimulated" and not dwell on the past or whatever, but he's been doing this thing with Alison Krauss off and on for longer than Led Zeppelin was together, and he's still out there playing Black Dog and Rock and Roll every night.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

its a pretty diff style
He will simply not be creatively fulfilled until he performs Black Dog in every genre
