At first glance: Pleasantly surprised they pulled Kelela, Moses Sumney, Jay Elec (?!), Tash Sultana, and CHVRCHES with their new album coming. N.E.R.D! I guess Post Malone is this years Marshmello? Maggie Rogers should not be billed above 2 Chainz. Jack White! Is Travis/YYYs gonna turn out like Phoenix/Gambino? No Cardi??? Uzi is gonna be madness
This lineup's fine, imo. Not as weird and diverse as last year's, though. Not even close. Most of the stuff I'd see is on the rock side of spectrum: Jack, YYYs, Dirty Projectors, Cut Copy, Japandroids.. I'd see NERD.
A few other things here and there, but it'd be hard to justify the plane ticket, even if I had the LN pass thing.
Not a fan of the headliners outside Jack White but overall enough to get me there at least 1 day pending the breakdowns....maybe the crossed out name was Brand New?

Yeah they were probably blind-sided by those allegations 2 months ago and haven't had any time to get a replacement

It looks like the first three letters of the hidden name could be "LCD," which would be pretty sweet, assuming it's a hidden name to be revealed later and not a cancellation.

It would be really funny if an artist cancelled and instead of removing their name completely, Gov Ball decided to just put yellow rectangle over it

Er...didn't that happen with Avalanches and Pretty Lights at the Meadows in 2016?
It's a decent lineup considering Eminem, Travis Scott and Hasley are occupying top spots. Maybe 2018 won't be a terrible year for the majors after all.
I know I am lame for liking white dudes with guitars - but I am soo excited for this
Jack White, Manchester, The Menzingers, Japandroids are some of my fav bands. Have only seen Jack once.
I love old school Eminem and would like to see that.
Third eye blind, the struts, Pond, will be fun
And then, my fav band of all time, reunion, playing their best album. The fing Gaslight Anthem, The 59 Sound. Get it all the way the F on.
My history with Gov ball - flood of 2013, rain out day for Kanye in 2016 and left before the killers in 2016 because I thought they would call it. No issues in 2017 but I was only there cause of live nation fest pass. I hate everything about this fest. The location is ass. I usually hate the crowd. NYC is so annoying to navigate before and after etc etc. And I could not be more excited. Lets do this Gov Ball.

I imagine a lot of the rare undercard bookings for Coachella will be exclusive to them but I'd personally like GBall to have some of these acts crossover:

Those are just some I could see possibly hitting multiple fests.
If I hit a fest in May/June this will likely be it. YYYs are a big deal for me.
It will probably be a Gambino/Phoenix scenario with YYYs and Travis Scott.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs with a crowd of die hards in NYC on a summer night will def be magic. They are an act Founders have tried for every year since the fest started. Pretty great they finally nabbed them.

David Byrne would have made a big difference. Loyle Carner is a legit grab, if I lived in NY I’d maybe go YYYs day (assuming they’d get a headining type slot)
