Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I imagine a lot of the rare undercard bookings for Coachella will be exclusive to them but I'd personally like GBall to have some of these acts crossover:
St. Vincent Vince Staples War On Drugs Greta Van Fleet HAIM David Byrne Fleet Foxes Chromeo Chic Jungle BROCKHAMPTON Highly Suspect Portugal. The Man Perfect Circle King Krule Kamasi Washington
Those are just some I could see possibly hitting multiple fests.
Well.....you got Brockhampton
Yeah... I mean I’m not gonna act like this is a great lineup right now but it’s better than the alternative fests I was looking at for this year. If David Byrne is that crossed off name that’d be a huge get for me and drastically improve the lineup.
I know I am lame for liking white dudes with guitars - but I am soo excited for this
Jack White, Manchester, The Menzingers, Japandroids are some of my fav bands. Have only seen Jack once.
I love old school Eminem and would like to see that.
Third eye blind, the struts, Pond, will be fun
And then, my fav band of all time, reunion, playing their best album. The fing Gaslight Anthem, The 59 Sound. Get it all the way the F on.
My history with Gov ball - flood of 2013, rain out day for Kanye in 2016 and left before the killers in 2016 because I thought they would call it. No issues in 2017 but I was only there cause of live nation fest pass. I hate everything about this fest. The location is ass. I usually hate the crowd. NYC is so annoying to navigate before and after etc etc. And I could not be more excited. Lets do this Gov Ball.
Not a fan of Eminem but otherwise sounds like Ill be following you around at this fest!
Gaslight day you wont be following me - depending on the schedule you can probably join me in camping - there is really no reason to - but my people will be there. I am really hoping they aren't main stage before Eminem. I don't want the Em crowd camping during gaslight
that said - get it on. Gov ball usually does 1 thing well - there is a clear path and schedule for the rock/indie/drunk people and a clear path for the hip hop/edm/stoned people.

Overall, I'm actually somewhat stoked. There's no one here that gets me as excited as the chance to see TOOL for the first time, but there's a higher percentage of bands/acts I've heard of/care about than there was last year, and I had a great time last year.
Eminem will be fun assuming he plays the hits. Jack White's set in '14 was RIDICULOUS, so I'm there for that. I never got to see YYYs in the '00s, and I dig them, so that'll be cool. CHVRCHES are a great show and I was bummed to miss them in the '16 rainout, so that'll be a nice bit of redemption. The '59 Sound is far and away my favorite Gaslight Anthem record, so that's nice. I've missed Sylvan Esso at multiple fests, so I'm glad I'll finally get to see them. And then there's a bunch of good stuff (for my tastes) dotted down throughout the undercard - Cut Copy, Dirty Projectors, Manchester Orchestra, Japandroids, Brockhampton, Alvvays, Wolf Alice, Belly (!!!!), Pond, The Regrettes...and that's before I've even listened to any of the listed artists I don't know.
I would honestly not be surprised if this undersold relative to last year, but I don't regret my early bird purchase at all.
If I hit a fest in May/June this will likely be it. YYYs are a big deal for me.
It will probably be a Gambino/Phoenix scenario with YYYs and Travis Scott.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs with a crowd of die hards in NYC on a summer night will def be magic. They are an act Founders have tried for every year since the fest started. Pretty great they finally nabbed them.
I don't love this but I don't hate it. It is always hard to find our fest that both me and my GF like and both want to go to. I usually do a couple jam fest with friends and then we do one together. This is more her style.
I'd see: Eminem - Haven't seen since Warped Tour '99 Jack White - Have never seen Yeah Yeah Yeahs N.E.R.D. Gaslight Anhtem Damian Marley Japandroids Third Eye Blind - For the nostalgia Tash Sultana 2 Chains Belly The Struts and probably a few others after some research.
So this is still in play but want to see what else comes out.

I don't know why but this lineup excites me more than Coachella's, probably because there's more guitar here. It is really sad though that we have Travis Scott as a headliner. I definitely would like to try and go to a day of this before heading off to Roo. Highlights for me:
Eminem (I know he sucks live but it'll be a fun greatest hits set) Jack White YYYs NERD Chvrches Manchester Orchestra Wolf Alice Japandroids Middle Kids Third Eye Blind
Conveniently I could see the 5 good bands I’d want to see here all over. There’s nothing exciting here. It follows the Govball model of, “this is just good enough.” This definitely makes the Coach lineup look more attractive.
Unfortunately another marquee headliner that doesn't do anything for me, so right off the bat have to say I was hoping for a bit more. Jack White is great live but I was there in 2014 so it doesn't super excite me.
Travis Scott is a fun show if you don't mind the idiots he'll attract, but he's easily the worst headliner this festival has had since it moved to three days.
Pretty shocked they got both NERD and YYYs, I would have bet both showed up at Panorama. The hip hop is great, as should be expected.
Compared to last year, it's a little less to my tastes but it's still solid. They usually do a nice job creating a specific rock/rap conflict across a day or two, so I'd be in for that. Not enough for me personally for all three days though.
I dig it. Don’t regret buying a 3-day pass. As a married 34 year old white guy you can probably guess what my tastes are like but I’d see the belolike. If anyone wants to call out some other names that I may dig given my list, feel free.
Jack White Yeah Yeah Yeahs Halsey The Gaslight Anthem CHVRCHES Cut Copy Sylvan Esso Maggie Rogers Dirty Projectors Manchester Orchestra Japandroids Third Eye Blind Tash Sultana Allvays Wolf Alice Belly The Struts Middle Kids Sir Sly Pond Alice Merton
I would 100% go to this if I lived in NYC. If I find I have more money than I think later down the road it is definitely on the table.
Also: Launchy, why did they retweet a video of Frank at Pano? Were they in negotiations with him or something? Seems like a counterintuitive marketing strategy if not

Wish they still did the Reddit AMA so I could bust their balls for doing this to us

i guess Silk City (Diplo + Mark Ronson) could be interesting? Cut Copy is always good to have. Margo Price is wonderful. 2 Chainz last album was fantastic (also surprised he is so low). Looks like Brockhampton will be everywhere (not complaining). Who the hell is A$AP Twelvyy?
Pretty underwhelming top lines but I guess that's status quo for 2017 and 2018 majors. I know YYY's are a good get but I've never been into them.
Not going to try and dig up my old post but 3-4 years ago I posted about how we were going to run out of exciting headliners and everyone told me I was full of shit.
if the YYYs and NERD play the same day i could see myself trying to go. I put this in the room headline thread but has anyone seen NERD live and is it a good show?
I'm not coming back for this, but I didn't think I was anyway. Hoping panorama is good.
The crossed off name looks like it could start with LO...
It looks like Lord Huron, but that seems extremely high for them to be billed.
Hate to buy into the hype, but it looks awfully like LCD as well...
I do agree it looks like LCD which would be great for me as I missed ALL of their Brooklyn Steel shows! But at the same time they are in Germany the last week of May and Ireland the first week of June so not sure they'd fit in a trek back to NY in there

Their performances around this new album on the late night circuit have been pretty cool IMO, but they haven't played a real show in so long it's hard to say what they're going to do. When they performed at ComplexCon recently, it basically was a listening party with dancers.

There is no way LCD would play Gov Ball and not be a headliner. Especially below the Yeah Yeah Yeah's.
