LMFAO they're sticking Uzi in the tent. I hope (1) they seriously upgraded it or (2) there's some really good counter to him because (especially with Brockhampton and Aminé playing the tent, as well) that thing will not hold up

Rae played the tent last year and it was fine
Uzi sold out a 6,000 capacity venue in DC two months ago. Gonna be horrendous in a tent.

This one's a screamer:
Heyo! A lot of people have been complaining about festival lineups this year and many articles have been published about how festivals have become lackluster in their booking. Do you find that to be the truth and if so, do you think that's only indicative of the music that artists put out?
people are entitled to their own opinions. america!

Danny Brown too. That was savagery.. I remember even finding you up front by the mosh pit too dude! Haha
Pond on the main stage at ~5pm is literally the only thing I am jealous about of this festival.
I wonder if that answer was misleading. They said Maggie Rogers and Pond would be Main Stage at 1:30 and 4:45. Maggie is a much bigger draw and high on the lineup though.
Yeah that's a rough conflict. N.E.R.D is near the top of my list for the weekend, though, so they win. Hopefully CHVRCHES plays Radio City again or something
They alluded to looking into options for getting Meadows out of the Citi Field lot. I hope they keep it in Queens (Launch?...)

Looking like its going to move into my backyard in Hoboken NJ. I'll grill up some burgers and everyone can chill in the kiddie pool.

Whatever happened to the outdoor summer venue that Hoboken was trying to get started? They had Mumford & Sons one summer and then Bob Dylan & Wilco the following summer, and then nothing. They made it sound like is was gonna become a regular occurrence. Plus it was a solid space (think it held 15k) right on the water.

I guess as long as they're not like Eddie Murphy's moms burger then it's kind of a win

I don’t remember who compiled that clashfinder a while back, but the AMA revealed a bunch of set times and who’s playing vs who. I’d be interested to see what that looks like now.

Nice stretch of grass but I think it's a little too small to hold a festival on. That Mumford show was insanely crowded. If you didn't show up relatively early you were stuck way in the back.

Oh I'm definitely not saying they should put a festival there.....just would love a big outdoor venue in NYC

They used to run shows on Pier 97, but they stopped doing it after the amphitheater at Coney Island opened up. Other than that, we still have Central Park Summerstage.

And Forest Hills. And the Prospect Park Bandshell
SummerStage and BRIC combined offer some pretty stellar summer programing
Full disclosure: Friday Night is still tricky to figure out since they hinted at going with last years staggered format.
I would honestly be pretty happy with this schedule. My biggest conflicts would be Alice Merton vs. Confidence Man and the dreaded CHVRCHES vs. N.E.R.D....although it sounds like they might be reconsidering that based on the AMA. Interestingly enough, they also changed CHVRCHES' set time in 2016 - they were originally booked opposite Courtney Barnett, then got moved after enough people made noise....and then, we didn't get to see them, anyway, because of the rainout.

And Citi Field.
Prospect Park Bandshell is such a beautiful and relaxing place to see a show in the Summer. The sounds can be pretty terrible though.
