This will sound absurd to many but I really wish Radiohead would consider playing Citi Field or a bigger place. The amount of brokers, corporations, hold-backs at MSG ensure that only, like, half the actual arena goes on sale to the public and 3 nights will go quickly. They also price the shows WAY too low encouraging people to buy to resell. It's shitty but they should price the floor at least at $150 and make the nosebleeds like $50 to discourage scalping.

How much is the floor usually? $150 to me sounds like a steal.

Price range according to Ticketmaster is $59.50 - $99.50. Basically inviting people to scalp for 4x that.

It's definitely time for Radiohead to graduate to baseball stadiums.

I'm all for Radiohead playing for larger crowds, but (baseball) stadiums don't really suit them. Look at the 2017 show in Manchester, UK that was moved to a cricket stadium and apparently suffered for it.

Not sure if you saw this but they are delivering mobile tickets day of the event for this run of shows.

For the Boston shows at least the confirmation email makes it sound like they might be sure IDs are matching too:
"Delivery (Will Call) Please take your order confirmation e-mail and ID to the venue on the night of the show."
Might not be ideal because there's a good chance I would be able to make it to this.
Edit: The Ticketmaster app is so much faster than the website. The app was in within a couple minutes and the browser is still in Queue 20 minutes later.

I used to think that about the TM app but it takes like 20-30 seconds to load an event once it goes on sale which, in cases like this, makes all the difference. That being said, the desktop site has so many different ad calls/pixels trying to track your purchase behavior to retarget ads to you that it also functions like a shit sandwich.
Radiohead added a fourth show at MSG. Tickets went on sale 45 minutes after the sale started for the other three dates.
They sold out 4 nights at the Garden in less than an hour. Cray.
Could you secure any?
Jah. I was striking out on Ticketmaster, and then some helpful soul on reddit mentioned that the LiveNation app was working better. Switched over to that and scored a couple for Tuesday and Saturday. They're kind of crap seats, but we're in the building, so I'll take it.
Speaking of moving tickets well, this whole Post Malone tour already seems to be sold out at almost every venue. Insane
It's crazy because most of the venues are 18k+ outdoor sheds...and the lawn tickets at most venues are $55 face. That's easily the most expensive lawn ticket I've seen in a longggg time. For example, at the same venue, Dead & Co is charging $45, Kendrick/Schoolboy/SZA is $35, and Zac Brown Band is $27.

Willing to wager that Yeah Yeah Yeahs play to an empty field while everyone is at Post... Which I am very okay with.
Wonder if Founders will shift now and move Post to the Honda Headliner spot
I'm not sure they care about the main stage being the most packed as much as we think. I asked if they were surprised about Phoenix/CG turnout and they said no.
Most of the VIP and the sponsors sections are at the main stage, so maybe that's why it's so important to have some older skewing acts on the main stage even if turnout doesn't dictate it.

Sure but im talking about if they are gonna give him an extra 15-30 minutes by shifting from the 6:45 slot on Honda to the 9:15 spot on Honda

Lol, no way that Post Malone would even consider filling his set with an extra 15-30 minutes.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs, at this point, will definitely have a smallish crowd. They're not at Strokes-level of ubiquity and a lot of time has passed since the 00's NYC rock craze.
Methinks the days of "rock/alt" headliner, unless it's a legacy act that is still relevant to millennials, are pretty much already over.
On another note, I'm enjoying the new CHVRCHES song they put out with Matt from The National.
Rock has died so many times, but these things move in cycles. Read Meet Me in the Bathroom (or, you know, remember that era, if you're one of us who lived through it). Rock was "dead" at the turn of the millennium, and then the Strokes happened, and that whole indie rock boom followed.
If we don't suffer an asteroid strike or destroy ourselves, we'll all get to see several genres of music, rock included, go through cycles of death and renaissance before the singularity happens and all music is replaced by a clanging noise that our hybrid synthetic brains will interpret as the most beautiful sound ever made.

I think we all keeping saying that but I've never seen it THIS far removed from the cultural zeitgeist. I imagine there will be some update to the EDM-rock infused stuff that is popular on alt radio now but the idea of a guitar-bass-drums combo ever making a big splash seems minimal at this point.
