That Arca/Sakamoto is the only thing I’m not 100% on. My brain says both (as that’s the second time they’ve posted that article) but my heart can’t take it if I’m wrong.
How about The XX? Aren’t those Tennessee dates over this week? I’m too lazy to look it up.
It might be a stretch, but I just saw that Big Ears liked this on Twitter:
I’m holding off on likes for a bit. They’ve also recently liked articles about The xx and Perfume Genius. All 3 are past performers. Not saying she’s out, just not getting excited till they say “Get Excited”.

That makes sense. I feel like St. Vincent would be a good fit (better than The xx IMO) for this fest with her new show.

Destroyer playing Nasheville in Feb probably puts them out for this right? Also I really want to make this happen next year.Lineup is just silly so far. St. Vincent would make it impossible to say no.

I would think so. I am curious about Hiss Golden Messenger but dude isn’t not a make or break thing if he’s on there or not. I’m just surprised he hasn’t at this point.
With Black Twig Pickers already there, this isn’t gonna be devoid of weirdo folk.

Fun fact: Destroyer played the Pilot Light when he came to Knoxville earlier this year (or late last year... not sure).

Black Twig Pickers are one I am excited for. Didn't they play with Steve Gunn one year? Also they played Asheville not too long ago. Not sure why I didn't end up going to that.

They played Hopscotch with Gunn and was amazing. I’m not counting on it but it could happen at Big Ears.
I said earlier that I’m pretty sure House & Land will end up on the lineup. It’s Sally Anne Morgan (fiddle player from BTP) and Sarah Louise Henson (folk). The new album is awesome and it just makes so much sense.
It’s Asheville based but I’m not sure how much they play there.

Cool will have to give that a listen/keep an eye out for them. I wouldn't expect BTP to play with Gunn either it's just my association with that band. The album they did together was pretty amazing.
I never made it into St. John’s or Church Street United Methodist last year. Stoked those are returning.
They were beautiful and had great acoustics for the performances booked there. Entry and egress were tough as these churches weren't designed for the flows of concerts, and it seemed they hit capacity (1 in, 1 out) more frequently than the club/theater venues.

That’s really good to know. If there’s anything I wanna see, I’ll get there early.
I tend to split the venues up in my head. Tennessee, Bijou, the churches, Square Room is one section. Standard, Mill & Mine, Jackson Terminal is the other. It’s easier for me if I think in terms of how fast I can get from one venue to the other.
