Sorry I don't want to use the shitty State Farm wifi to check in to an internet game at a music festival. Especially when I signed up with the promise that the game would freeze.
Sorry, I don't mean to criticize you as much as I mean to criticize the pace of the game. This thing has been spactuarly slow, and now is about to freeze a couple of days before Roo even starts? I mean.... I'm not a player, just an observer, so what I have to say doesn't really count anyway.

No worries my post probably came off harsher than I meant it. Although I agree that the freeze starting Monday is a little early. However, if we change the rules now I feel it would be unfair to Ken who wanted a rule change to remake a book.
why???? Just let it go until someone at Bonnaroo hasn'T made a pick in 24 hours.then freeze until they return. The last thing this draft needs is an arbitrary stoptime. We've had like 7 picks 48 hours.
It's not arbitrary, it's been in place since before you signed up.
Jesus. Stopping when there's no predicting where the draft will be is arbitrary by definition. I just don't see the harm in letting things go until we hit a logical stopping point. There's no reason to stop it until we have to. It could go two places or eight. Most people aren't leaving until Wednesday and some would possibly be able to make a pick from their phone or send at least one pick to someone else. I'll be flying to Cali on Wednesday, so it's not like I'm saying this with no plans or obligations of my own.

It's not really unfair to Ken because he was wanting to go outside the stated premise of the game. I don't think there needs to even be a rule change. I'm simply saying we should let things run their course until we reach a logical stopping point. With the way this shit is going I would assume it would stop by noon on Tuesday anyway. It's not punishing anyone going to Roo. It's not forcing anyone to do anything. So I really don't see the harm in it.

Eh, again, I'm not playing, so I'm not advocating for a change to the rules.

To me, the draft freeze is just as clear cut as the remake rule that ruled you cannot remake a book.

Which means absolutely nothing to me. I do not care or see how this is relevant in any way. What I'm suggesting doesn't change in fundamental premise of the draft. It doesn't give anyone an advantage. It simply allows for this draft to maybe continue on it's glacial pace for another day or two.
I'll even trade my next pick with someone going to Roo so they don't have to worry about it.

I think the rules that decide how the draft will work are just as important as concept itself.
who's all going, me, dan, todd, and one more right? I'm fine ceding my picks in the spirit of speeding things up. I feel like we're pretty close, if everyone picks it up a little we could do some serious damage, and ive got a majority of the picks in the last two rounds any ways.
I'm going. I'm not using battery power, data or time trying to keep up with this at the festival. I picked midnight Monday because people tending to start leaving on Tuesday or Wednesday.
I'm fine with delaying everything a week. My movie is fully cast, I only have the movie itself left to draft (and I highly doubt Fore34 will take it). This gives me time to come up with a poster and think about my description.
Brad Pitt is my pick (I'm quite confused how he has made it this far down) potentpotables is up
I almost picked him for the role that ultimately went to Kyle Chandler. He would've been great but I worried that it would've drawn too much attention to the role. Also teaming him up with Soderbergh and Clooney again might be a little less than creative.
Well, you still haven't designated roles for Bill Murray, Chiwetel Ojiofor or Janell Monae. Who do you have them playing?
(I've just entered "pass" in your future slots. Should you change your mind, you can just jump in as appropriate based on the number of your picks that have gone by.)
a writer who follows strangers for inspiration is confronted by one of his subjects - a thief, who takes the writer under his wing and embroils him into his underworld dealings.
It’s a great film, featuring many trademarks of future Nolan films that we’ve come to love (psychological thriller, unexpected twists, non-chronological storytelling) - but it is not without the shortcomings you might expect from a film made for under $10,000 from a first-time director. I rarely see much point in remaking films that were near perfect to begin with. It is, however, great enough that it led to the offer to direct Memento. The film is only an hour long, and I would like to expand it to a full-length, and delve deeper into the characters of the Policeman and the Bald Guy.
Here is the trailer - the full movie can also be found on Youtube, and I highly recommend watching it, but I won't post it here:
