I'll hold off for the time being. You guys can pass this pick and likely my next. I'll put up my last 2 picks later tonight when I have time to write them up and work on my poster. Also, gotta go hang with my parents for Father's Day.
This is an interesting choice... I'm all about a re-make by Tim Burton though, and I think Michael Certa, Brad Pitt, and Woody Harrelson are spot on casting choices.

With pick #204 I'm getting Richard Taylor as my Special Effects Supervisor.
He's the co-founder, creative director and CEO of the special effects and props company Weta Workshop. Famous for their all-encompassing design work in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy... which earned Taylor 4 of his 5 Oscars. His company has continued beyond their work with Peter Jackson to include a wide varity of work on the films of people like Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, George Miller, Gareth Edwards and Neill Blomkamp.
This movie really isn't a special effects extravaganza but there are absolutely crucial elements that call for an A list person here. Gondry isn't keen on CGI, so Taylor and the people at Weta will be using practical effects for creature design. This is also a creative choice true to the work.
He will also be supervising his department on make-up and optical effects like miniatures during production.

Thanks! I really think it could be amazing. I tried to add a few people who don't work with Burton too often to prevent from feeling like another crappy variation of the same stuff he has been making for the past ten years. Plus, I think it would be amazing to finally get to see Keaton, Depp, and Burton on one film
